Sarah couldn't stop looking at her phone. She kept watching the photo and a video clip that popped up later on that someone had posted on social media. It was short, maybe ten seconds, but it showed everything she needed to see.
Mason walking into the restaurant. The blonde woman beside him. They looked perfect together - like they belonged in the same world of expensive clothes and fancy places.
Sarah watched it again. And again. Each time, she noticed something new that made her chest hurt more.
Sarah's mind started thinking about something that made her feel even worse. She did know that Mason was allergic to most people's touch. He couldn't handle it when strangers touched him. But he was fine with Sarah's touch. And his grandmother's touch. That was it.
