"Shit!" Kai cursed.
"What is it?" Kraven asked.
"We're screwed!" Kai hissed, already hurrying toward the Chancellor's office.
"How?" Kraven demanded, confusion flashing in his eyes.
"Derek is here — with Clinton McCoy. And they're in the office… with Ariel."
Kraven's eyes widened. "Fuck!" he cursed loudly, and the two of them bolted down the hall.
"Sorry, you can't go in right now," the secretary said, stepping in front of the door.
"Get out of my way," Kai bellowed, his eyes shifting from blue to black, sending shivers down the poor woman's spine. She immediately stepped aside.
They burst into the office and saw Derek holding onto Ariel's hand.
"I'm sorry, Chancellor," Kai said, barely containing his fury, "but I'm here to take my sister. Alpha Horace wants me to bring her."
