Naruto SI: Kaito Red Lightnin Chapter 176
He kept his voice steady. "And not just once—you kept spamming it, reliving the attacks, predicting what came next. But each time you failed to dodge, the damage added up. You've been taking hits without noticing."
Urashiki's face twisted in anger and confusion as his body refused to move.
"As for why you can't move…" Kaito continued, his eyes sharp. "That's one of the abilities granted to sage mode users of Shikkotsu Forest. ya know, " The slime that coats Kaito's body can paralyze his opponents if it gets on them, and it also releases a gas that does the same thing, completely immobilizing the person who inhales it.
Urashiki's eyes darted around, trying to move, trying to phase—nothing worked.
"But I don't have time to explain it all to you…" Kaito said, narrowing his eyes. "Because this ends now."
Without another word, Kaito teleported, reappearing behind Sasuke. He placed a hand on Sasuke's back and teleported away.
At the same time, the clone inside the barrier teleported Kushina, Naruto, and Boruto away.
Leaving Urashiki alone in the training ground.
A few kilometers away, Kaito and the others reappeared. Kaito held up a half Ram hand sign and muttered, "Sage Art: Fuin Tandem Explosive." A moment later, the training ground erupted into a series of chained massive explosions.
…
Two kilometers away, the explosions continued. The ground trembled with each blast, the shockwaves rolling out like thunder.
Kaito dropped out of Sage Mode, his breathing rough and unsteady, sweat pouring down his face.
Naruto lost his balance and landed flat on his backside from the shaking. "Woo oohh!"
Kushina rushed to him, crouching beside him quickly. "are you okay, Naruto-chan?"
"Ehhh…" Boruto wobbled, still trying to steady himself as he looked at the cloud of smoke and destruction in the distance. "You think... that'll be enough to take that guy out?" he asked, gulping at the sight. The sheer scale of it made his stomach twist.
Sasuke didn't say a word. He just stood still, eyes locked on the direction of the blast. His breathing was ragged. His Sharingan had already been deactivated.
Kaito stood up, still panting.
After nearly a full minute, the explosions finally stopped. The shaking faded.
Then it happened. Kaito's eyes widened in shock. A jolt of pain shot through him as he looked down. A hand was sticking clean out from the right side of his chest.
He gasped, blood pouring from his mouth. Turning his head slowly, he saw him. Urashiki.
"W-what…?" Kaito barely managed to say.
Urashiki stood right behind him, his right eye shut. His shirt was completely torn, his face half-burnt, and his left side was scorched and bloodied.
"You…" Urashiki growled. "To think… an insect like you could put me in this state."
The entire clearing froze. Everyone went silent. All eyes were on Kaito, skewered through from behind.
Urashiki yanked his hand out of Kaito's body. As he did he pulled out Kaito's remaining chakra as it swirled in his palm, condensing into a green pill.
Kaito collapsed forward, crashing to the ground with a sickening thud.
Kaito's shadow clone, the one standing beside Kushina, suddenly puffed into smoke—dispelled.
"Kaito!!" Kushina screamed, her eyes wide in horror. She tried to use her chakra, but her abdomen pain flared up, knocking her down. Gritting her teeth, she looked toward Kaito, her heart aching.
"Kai-kun…" she whispered, her voice trembling as tears filled her eyes. "No no no ….Kai-kun, this… cant" Even through the pain, she started to crawl, dragging herself forward, her hands shaking.
Naruto's eyes dilated, locked on his big brother's unmoving body. 'Kai-nii…'
Urashiki popped the chakra pill into his mouth and chewed it. as soon as he ate them his wounds began to heal at a visible rate—burns vanishing, skin mending, flesh regrowing.
"Mmm… what good chakra," Urashiki muttered. "Such a shame."
Before anyone could react, Sasuke dashed toward him, his sword slicing through the air.
But Urashiki dodged with ease, then spun and slammed his foot into Sasuke's side.
"Gah!" Sasuke was sent flying, crashing into a tree with a hard thud.
"You bastard!" Boruto shouted, charging forward. He leapt into the air, aiming a punch at Urashiki's face.
But Urashiki barely reacted. He just flicked his chakra rod forward Crack! It smacked Boruto right on the head.
The clone popped in a puff of smoke. But from above "Got you!" Boruto reappeared mid-air, a Rasengan spinning in his hand. He came down fast.
Urashiki caught him. One hand gripped Boruto's wrist, stopping the Rasengan. With a sickening twist Crack!
Boruto screamed as his arm broke.
"You're lucky," Urashiki growled. "The laws forbid me from killing you." Then BAM! he kicked Boruto hard in the side, sending him flying across the clearing.
"Guh!" Boruto crashed into the ground, rolling to a stop.
Just then, Naruto let out a scream. "Nii-chan!!" the ninetails chakra spiked. Red chakra exploded from his body as the Nine-Tails' chakra poured out of him. The ground trembled. Wind howled in every direction, whipping trees and dirt into the air.
Naruto hunched forward, growling, as the red chakra wrapped around him violently. One tail sprouted. Then another. Then a third.
A deafening roar escaped him as a shockwave burst out, shoving everything back. Kushina, the closest to him, was thrown through the air. She tumbled, her back slamming into a tree.
"Aghhh!" she cried out, coughing out blood tears spilling down her cheeks. She looked at her sons—Kaito on the ground, and Naruto lost in rage and pain.
She gritted her teeth, trying to stand.
"Naruto… Kaito… No… please Minato" she whispered, sobbing, as she pushed her self to crawl again through the pain.
Urashiki watched with wide eyes, the wind whipping his hair. "What powerful chakra," he muttered, a wide grin stretching across his face.
Boruto shielded his face with his arm from the shockwave. He stared at Naruto, eyes wide, frozen in fear and shock. 'W-what's happening to him…?'
…
Back in the village – Hokage Office
Tsunade was at her desk, flipping through paperwork, brow furrowed in focus.
The window slid open behind her. Jiraiya stepped in casually. "Hey there, Tsunade."
"I'm busy," she replied without looking up. "Go bother someone else."
Jiraiya closing the window behind him. He walked over to her desk. "Now, now, can't I just visit an old friend?"
Tsunade glanced up, clearly annoyed. "What do you want, Jiraiya?"
He grinned. "I just came back fro—"
Knock knock.
The office door opened, and Shizune peeked in.
"Lady Tsunade, Shikaku-sama is here to see you."
Tsunade nodded. "Send him in."
Shizune stepped aside, holding the door open as Shikaku walked in. He strolled in lazily, holding a stack of files. "Lady Tsunade. Lord Jiraiya."
Jiraiya gave him a grin. "Hey there, Shikaku."
Shikaku walked over to Tsunade's desk and handed her a folder he'd been carrying. "This is the latest intelligence report you asked for, my lady."
Tsunade took it with a nod. "Good. Thank you."
"If that's all you needed, I'll be off then," Shikaku said as he turned around to leave.
But then it happened explosion echoed through the air. The building itself shook slightly from the force.
Tsunade's eyes narrowed as she stood up quickly and looked out the window in the direction of the blast. A series of explosions lit up the sky in the distance.
Her heart sank.'That's... coming from Kaito's training ground.'
Jiraiya stepped up behind her, frowning. "Isn't that where the kid usually trains?"
Shikaku let out a tired sigh. "Troublesome…"
Tsunade muttered under her breath, "What is that brat up to this time…" She raised her hand.
Itachi appeared behind her clad in full ANBU gear. "lady Hokage?" he asked calmly.
Without looking at him, Tsunade ordered, "Go check on what your friend up to. If this is his doing, bring him back here."
"Yes, ma'am," Itachi replied with a nod, and he vanished with a body flicker.
"I think I'll go too," Jiraiya said as he walked over to the window. "Might be something serious." He slid it open just as the last of the explosions faded away.
But right after the silence… they felt it. A dark, thick pressure in the air. A wave of raw, pulsing chakra.
Tsunade's eyes widened. "That's…"
Shikaku's expression turned sharp. "Nine-Tails…" he muttered, his voice low. "Troublesome…"
Jiraiya didn't wait—he leapt straight out the window, moving fast.
Tsunade snapped out of her shock. Her voice rang out through the room. "Shikaku! Start emergency evacuation protocols! And someone get me Fugaku—tell him to head to the scene right now!"
Then she turned and jumped out the window herself. As she soared across the rooftops, heading toward the blast site, her mind raced. 'What the hell happened over there? What triggered this? Just hang on, brats…'
…
A few minutes earlier – Hyuga Clan Compound
In the training yard, Hotaru was sparring with Hiashi.
She moved swiftly, deflecting her father's palm strike with a precise block.
Seeing an opening in his guard, she countered with a quick palm strike aimed at his right side.
Hiashi narrowed his eyes, leaping back just in time to avoid the hit, creating distance between them.
Hotaru didn't slow down. She dashed forward, aiming another strike.
Hiashi blocked, and the two began exchanging rapid blows—strike for strike, each countering the other with sharp precision.
Neither could land a clean hit.
After a final clash, both jumped back, landing on opposite ends of the mat.
They stared at each other for a moment, breathing heavily, before Hiashi lowered his stance. signaling that the spars was over
a faint smile appeared on hiashi face. "You've improved greatly, Hotaru-chan."
Hotaru, her face dripping with sweat, dropped her stance and smiled back. "I'm still no match for you, Father."
Hiashi nodded thoughtfully. "Give it another two years, and I believe you'll completely surpass me."
Hotaru grinned. "Then I'll work even harder, Father."
But before Hiashi could reply, the ground began to shake beneath them. A distant rumble echoed through the air—explosions, loud and powerful.
Both Hiashi and Hotaru activated their Byakugan instinctively. Hotaru turned toward the direction of the blast, her eyes scanning with precision.
"It's… that's Kaito-kun's tandem explosive seal," she said, eyes wide. "It's coming from the direction of the training ground he always uses."
She bit her lip. "I have to go." She turned to run but Hiashi suddenly appeared in front of her, blocking her path.
"Please move, Father," Hotaru said, looking at him with urgency. "Kai-kun's fighting someone. He might need my help."
Hiashi shook his head. "Hotaru… I know you want to help, but if Kaito-san is using a jutsu of this level, it means his opponent is extremely dangerous. You'd only be a distraction."
Hotaru's fists clenched. She wanted to argue, but she knew her father was right.
"You'd just get in his way," Hiashi added calmly. "It's better to keep watch from here."
Hotaru frowned and bit her lip harder, her heart aching. Slowly, she nodded.
But then The explosions faded… and in the next moment, they both felt it.
A wave of dark, heavy chakra washed over them.
Hotaru staggered slightly, eyes wide. "W-what is that?!"
Hiashi's eyes widened in shock. "It's… that's the Nine-Tails' chakra."
Before he could say anything more, Hotaru moved. She dashed past him, leaping onto the rooftop, heading straight toward the training ground.
"Hotaru—!" Hiashi shouted, rushing after her. He followed quickly, not wasting a second. As he raced after his daughter, Hizashi landed beside him, having sensed the disturbance too. Without even looking at his brother, Hiashi barked out, "Help evacuate the clan—now!" Then he leapt ahead, following Hotaru at full speed.
…
Back in the forest clearing...
Blood dripped from Kaito's mouth and the wound in his chest as he lay on the ground. He forced his head up, trying to look toward Naruto. "Damn it…" he muttered, his vision blurring. 'Is this how it ends? No… no, I'm not dying here—not like this…' Gritting his teeth, Kaito reached for the chakra storage seal on his body and released it.
A surge of chakra rushed through him, filling up about half his reserves. 'It's not enough… I can't heal myself and fight Urashiki with just this…' he thought, struggling to stay conscious.
Just then, Katsuyu, sitting on his shoulder, spoke gently. "Kaito-kun, you need to gather nature energy and enter Sage Mode. It'll help your body heal faster. I'll assist you in gathering it."
Kaito gave a weak nod and closed his eyes, focusing, letting his body relax as he began pulling in nature energy, trusting Katsuyu to speed it up.
Meanwhile, Naruto let out another feral roar and shot toward Urashiki, moving so fast the ground beneath him shattered from the force of his launch.
Urashiki's eyes widened. "My, my… a feisty one, aren't you?" he chuckled. He dodged Naruto's first wild strike, laughing, then pulled back his chakra rod and hurled it forward.
The hook end pierced into Naruto's chest—and Urashiki laughed harder as he yanked it back…
But his smile faded when he saw the end of the hook was empty. "Huh?" Urashiki stared at it in confusion. "There's something... blocking me from pulling out your chakra?"
Naruto roared and lunged again. This time, Urashiki didn't dodge. Instead, he spun his rod and wrapped it tightly around Naruto, binding him in place.
Naruto growled, thrashing violently, the red chakra around him pulsing as he struggled to break free. Urashiki pulled him close, inspecting him with a sharp grin.
"There's a seal on you," he said. "That explains it… I can't extract it all at once. But…" He leaned in closer. "If that seal were to weaken—well, I could take everything. Looks like the quickest way is to remove it entirely."
He reached for the seal on Naruto's stomach. But as soon as his fingers touched the chakra, the Nine-Tails' Chakra surged wildly—lashing out with a violent forcing Urashiki to jump back.
"Tch!" he hissed.
Naruto roared again, his rage flaring—and with a burst of power, he shattered the bindings around him.
At that moment, Sasuke appeared in front of Urashiki, his foot slamming into Urashiki's chest and sending him flying back. Without wasting a second, Sasuke followed up with a slash of his sword.
But Urashiki raised his rod just in time to block the strike.
Urashiki scowled. "You're really annoying, you know that?" he said. "I guess I'll just kill you first."
Behind them, Naruto's chakra exploded again—this time, even more intense.
The red chakra boiled around him as his skin began to peel away, revealing the dark red cloak of the Four-Tails form. His growl deepened, feral and full of rage.
Sasuke looked back, eyes narrowing. "Damn it… the Nine-Tails' chakra is leaking out… this is bad."
Urashiki snarled, "Your fight is with me!" He kicked Sasuke hard, sending him skidding back.
Sasuke recovered quickly, planting his feet and raising his sword just in time to block Urashiki's hook, which came at him in rapid strikes. Sparks flew as blade and rod clashed.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines Kushina was on the ground, tears streaming down her cheeks. Forced herself up to her hand and knees as began crawling toward Naruto. "Naruto!" she called out.
Naruto turned toward her, his eyes wild, glowing red. He let out a guttural growl.
Just then Four golden chakra chains shot out from the side and wrapped tightly around Naruto, restraining him.
Kushina's eyes widen as she followed the chains to their source "Kaito…" she whispered.
Kaito was on his knees, panting heavily. His face now bore the distinct markings of Slug Sage Mode—but this time, his skin was clean, No slime. This was perfected Sage Mode. Steam hissed from the wound in his chest as it rapidly closed.
Before the Four-Tails Naruto could react, the chains yanked him toward Kaito—dragging him through the air.
As soon as Naruto was in front of him, Kaito palms slammed it into Naruto's stomach. As seal appeared on Kaito's palm—and the wild Nine-Tails chakra surrounding Naruto began to get pulled in, sucked into the seal.
Kaito held Naruto close, keeping their eyes locked. The red chakra slowly peeled away, melting off Naruto's body. In moments, the cloak vanished.
Naruto blinked, dazed. "K-Kaito-nii…" His skin was cracked and raw, patches missing from the chakra burn. His eyes fluttered shut as he passed out.
Kaito caught him gently and laid him on the ground. "Rest, Naruto," he said softly.
Then Kaito noticed it—his own body flickering with faint golden light.
He looked down at his hands. Yellow chakra flared and flickered around his body. 'This… it's KCM…'
the wounds on his chest closed even more rapidly as it healed completely in a few seconds.
'It's Kurama's chakra… but I don't think it'll last long. I need to end this—fast.' Kaito turned toward Boruto, who stood frozen, wide-eyed in shock.
"Boruto," Kaito said firmly, "watch over them."
Before Boruto he could say a word Kaito vanished.
Meanwhile – With Sasuke and Urashiki
Sasuke was getting pummeled. He skidded backward across the dirt, bruised and bloody. In desperation, he hurled his sword at Urashiki—but Urashiki sidestepped easily.
Sasuke clenched his fist and rushed forward, throwing a punch—but Urashiki caught his arm mid-swing, drove his knee hard into Sasuke's gut, and slammed him to the ground.
Sasuke hit the dirt, hunched over, gasping for air.
Urashiki raised his rod high, looming over him. "Any last words?" he mocked, his voice cold.
But then—Urashiki suddenly paused. He turned his head to the side, sensing something. "…What's happening?" he muttered, eyes narrowing. "The Nine-Tails' chakra… it's fading."
The momentary distraction was all Sasuke needed. He surged to his feet and activated Chidori, lightning crackling in his hand.
But Urashiki jumped back, dodging just in time.
Sasuke quickly canceled the jutsu and weaved through hand signs. "Fire Style: Flame Dragon Jutsu!" A series of blazing fire dragons shot toward Urashiki.
Urashiki dodged, moving through the sky as fire passed him and into the sky above.
Sasuke didn't stop. He rushed forward, snatching his fallen sword from the dirt—and this time, black flames of Amaterasu coated the blade.
Their weapons clashed again, But Urashiki grinned and kicked Sasuke away, sending him crashing into a tree. Sasuke coughed up blood as a chakra rod shot into his shoulder, pinning him to the trunk.
Urashiki's palm glowed as he gathered swirling purple chakra, forming a large sphere of energy. "Just be gone!" he roared, raising it.
But right before the attack could be launched— Flash!
Kaito appeared in front of Urashiki, crouched. He'd marked Urashiki earlier and used that to teleport straight to him.
Urashiki's eyes widened in pure shock. "W-What?! How are you still alive?!"
Kaito met Urashiki's gaze, as his body flickered in and out of KCM, the golden chakra cloak flickering like flame.
In his right palm, a Rasengan began to spin, But it wasn't just any Rasengan. Red lightning danced through it, crackling violently.
From a side, Sasuke saw the familiar glow. 'That's...'
Kaito pushed forward, thrusting the attack straight at Urashiki. "Sage Art: Red Lightning Massive Rasengan!!" he shouted.
The Rasengan grew in size as thrusted it toward Urashiki.
Urashiki growled. "I won't let you!" roaring, "Amenosubaruboshinomikoto!" As the massive purple sphere chakra sphere clashed with Kaito's Sage Art: Red Lightning Massive Rasengan.
The clearing lit up as both jutsu collided, shaking the air around them.
"AHHHH!" Kaito screamed, pushing harder, pouring every drop of chakra he had left into the attack.
While the two jutsus clashed, Sasuke—already having ripped the chakra rod from his shoulder—thrust his hand into the sky.
"Now! Kirin." he roared. A bolt of lightning split the clouds It came crashing down, striking Urashiki full force.
Urashiki screamed as the lightning tore through him, his body seizing under the current.
Seizing the moment, Kaito narrowed his eyes. The Sage Art: Red Lightning Massive Rasengan. in his hand condensed as kaito shrink it down into a dense spiral.
"Rasendan!!" he shouted. The Rasendan shot forward like a bullet, tearing through Urashiki's attack— BOOM! It pierced straight through Urashiki's palm, obliterating his hand.
The recoil of The Rasendan left Kaito skin on his right hand was torn raw, blood dripping freely.
Urashiki gasped—but before he could react, the Rasendan expanded, growing massive once again just inches from his face.
KABOOM!
It swallowed him whole. As Sage Art: Red Lightning Massive Rasengan tore through the land The shockwave blew apart trees and rock. Smoke and wind tore across the battlefield, and blasted upward into sky, exploding high above.
He stood there, panting hard, barely staying on his feet as he watched the last of the chakra fade from the sky.
He couldn't sense Urashiki anymore.
'It's… over…' His vision blurred. Darkness crept in from the edges. Kaito collapsed forward with a heavy thud—completely unconscious.
