He sighed, tone serious. "I don't know why you signed the contract with the snakes, but if you ever plan to learn senjutsu, don't go to them. When you return, ask your father for the Toad Contract, or ask Lady Tsunade for the Slug Contract. From what I've heard, the Great Snake Sage at Ryuchi Cave doesn't teach you—he injects you with nature energy and sees if you survive. If you don't, they eat you."
Boruto paled a little.
"As for the toads," Kaito continued, "they've got a special staff to knock you out if you start turning into a stone toad. And Lady Katsuyu? She can reabsorb the excess nature energy from your body and stop you from turning into slime."
Katsuyu nodded gently. "That's correct. There's a reason only Mount Myoboku and Shikkotsu Forest have produced senjutsu users. Ryuchi Cave has never produced one. Not a single survivor."
Boruto gulped and gave a stiff nod. "Y-Yeah… okay. I get it."
But before another word could be said, Kaito suddenly tensed, he quickly stood, drawing a kunai and scanning the skies.
Everyone froze.
Then, a voice echoed across the field, smooth and taunting. "My, my… it seems my plans really have been knocked off-kilter."

Urashiki hovered in the air with a smirk. "I suppose I'll just have to exterminate these annoying little insects."
Kaito's grip tightened around his kunai as he stared up at Urashiki floating above the training ground.
'Tch… I can't even sense him,' Kaito thought, his jaw tense. 'It's a good thing I had my clones guarding the perimeter. If one of them hadn't noticed him and dispelled, we wouldn't have even known he was here.'
He shifted into a ready stance, eyes narrowing.
Kushina immediately stepped in front of Naruto, shoving him behind her as she gripped a kunai. Her face was tight with tension, sweat beading on her brow as she glared at the intruder. The picnic and the peaceful afternoon were long forgotten.
Boruto stood frozen, body tense. "Urashiki…" he muttered.
Urashiki rested his chakra rod on his shoulder lazily. "Just as I thought—you arrived before me. How annoying… You always find a way to interfere."
Naruto peeked out from behind his mother, confused. "Who is this guy?" he asked.
Urashiki let out a low, sinister laugh. "I've wanted to meet you for a long time, Naruto Uzumaki."
Naruto blinked. "Huh? How does he know my name, ya know?"
Kushina's voice rang out, strong and fierce. "Hey! If you wanna get to my son, ya know—you'll have to go through us first!"
'I'll have to enter Sage Mode,' Kaito thought. He closed his eyes and began gathering nature chakra, Katsuyu quietly assisting from his shoulder, helping him draw it in faster.
Urashiki's smirk faded as his expression hardened. He narrowed his eyes. "So… you've got that power too, huh? I can't let you use something that dangerous now, can I?"
He raised his rod and, with a flick, launched a glowing hook straight at Kaito.
Just as it was about to hit, Sasuke blurred into view and deflected the hook with his sword.
Without wasting a moment, Sasuke leapt into the air and slashed at Urashiki. But Urashiki casually dodged to the side, floating just out of reach. He quickly recast his hook, aiming it at Kaito again.
Right then, Kaito's eyes snapped open, the distinctive markings of Sage Mode appearing on his face. From his back, a chakra chain burst out and intercepted the incoming hook, sending it flying back toward Urashiki.
Kaito's eyes narrowed. 'Now I can sense him… but only faintly. If he gets farther than one kilometer, I don't think I'll be able to track him.'
Sasuke landed a few feet in front of the group.
Katsuyu, still perched on Kaito's shoulder, spoke up. "I'll help you maintain Sage Mode for longer, Kaito-kun."
Kaito nodded. "Right. Thank you, Lady Katsuyu."
At that moment, one of Kaito's shadow clones dropped down beside Kushina, Naruto, and Boruto. Chakra chains erupted from the clone's back, quickly forming a protective dome-like barrier around the three of them, leaving the real Kaito outside.
Boruto looked up at the barrier, confused. "Huh? What—hey!"
But Kaito's voice cut through. "Stay inside the barrier with Mom and Naruto. Sasuke and I will handle this."
Urashiki floated in the air, blinking at the chakra chains now dancing around Kaito. He tilted his head slightly and smiled. "Huh… that technique you're using—it's oddly familiar. It's similar to ours… My, my, you insects are quite fascinating."
Before he could speak further, Sasuke appeared behind him in a flash, sword raised high.
Urashiki reacted fast, spinning and blocking the strike with his staff. Sparks flew as he shoved Sasuke backward through the air.
Sasuke recovered mid-air, quickly throwing several shuriken toward Urashiki.
Urashiki dodged with ease—but that's what Sasuke had counted on.
Using his Rinnegan, Sasuke swapped places with one of the shuriken and appeared behind Urashiki. Lightning surged around his blade as he shouted, "Chidori!" and slashed downward, the strike aimed clean at Urashiki's back.
Urashiki's byakugan shifted to a pair of blue Rinnegan. Before Sasuke's attack could land, he vanished from view, leaving behind red floating origami.
Sasuke landed a few feet away, scanning the area with sharp eyes. "Where is he?" he muttered, gripping his sword tightly as he searched around.
Meanwhile, Kaito's gaze stayed locked onto the origami. His eyes narrowed as he studied the scene carefully.
'He didn't just replace himself... I'm pretty sure that's a space-time ninjutsu. It has to be his Rinnegan's ability. It's kinda like Sasuke's, but not quite. Those origami… they're just a distraction,' he thought, watching intently.
Suddenly, Kaito's head snapped to the side as one of Urashiki's hooks slammed into the chakra chain barrier and bounced off harmlessly.
A few meters away, Urashiki reappeared, floating near a tree with that same calm, smug look on his face.
Seeing his hook fail to pierce the barrier, Urashiki frowned. "Well, I guess I'll just take your chakra before I move on to the main event," he said lazily.
Kaito narrowed his eyes. 'Just like I thought… he can't break through my chakra chains. But he's not serious yet—he's playing around. I need to catch him off guard while I still can.'
"I need to test something," Kaito said aloud, reaching into his pouch. He pulled out a handful of shuriken, then flung his hands wide. In a flash, the shuriken multiplied, scattering across the entire field, each one glowing faintly with a Hirashin marker.
In the next instant, Kaito vanished—and reappeared right in front of Urashiki, throwing a punch straight at his face.
'He's fast,' Urashiki thought, eyes flaring as his Rinnegan spun. His body shifted unnaturally, phasing to the side just in time for Kaito's punch to miss… or so it seemed.
A faint scuff mark appeared on Urashiki's cheek, making his expression tighten for a split second.
With a low growl, Urashiki pulled back his fishing rod. "Amenosubaruboshinomikoto," he muttered, before launching a rapid barrage of glowing hooks at Kaito.
Just as they were about to strike, Kaito vanished again.
Urashiki's eyes widened. "Huh? Space-time ninjutsu…?"
Kaito reappeared next to Sasuke on the ground, his eyes focused and sharp.
'So that's it, huh… I figured it out,' Kaito thought.
Kaito said to Sasuke, "I've got an idea. Distract him for a minute, will you?"
Saying that, Kaito brought his hands together and held the Ram hand sign, closing his eyes in concentration.
Sasuke looked at Kaito and nodded. "Right." He rushed at Urashiki with his sword.
Urashiki met him head-on, blocking the sword with his rod. The two exchanged blows, fighting back and forth. They clashed a few more times before Sasuke jumped back and blew out a large Dragon Flame Jutsu at Urashiki.
Urashiki's eyes turned into his blue Rinnegan as he disappeared, leaving behind red origami floating in the air.
He reappeared on the ground behind Sasuke. Before Sasuke could react, the hook pierced through him. Sasuke froze and looked down, seeing the hook sticking out through his chest.
Urashiki pulled the hook out, dragging out a large purple mass of chakra with it.
Sasuke dropped to his knees and muttered, "Damn…"
Urashiki looked at the chakra in his hand. "My, my… You really have some fine chakra, Sasuke Uchiha," he said as he pocketed it.
Just then, Kaito opened his eyes. His body was now covered in slug sage mode secretion. He quickly pulled out six tri-pronged kunai and threw them at Urashiki. As they flew, they multiplied into thousands, forming an endless barrage.
Urashiki's eyes turned into his blue Rinnegan again as he calmly moved through the kunai, shifting between them. "An attack of this nature won't work on me," he said.
Kaito smirked. "Hiraishin… Level Four," he muttered—and vanished.
Urashiki's eyes widened as Kaito teleported around him, appearing and disappearing within the barrage of tri-pronged kunai. The only thing that could be seen was the afterimage of his red hair flickering through the air.
Sasuke's eyes widened as he watched. "This jutsu…" he muttered.
From inside the barrier, Boruto's mouth dropped open. "What… how is he so fast? He's…"
Naruto grinned widely. "Wow, big bro!"
Kushina stared at the technique in awe. "Is this a new variation of your Hiraishin, Kai-kun? I've never seen him use it before."
The Kaito clone beside them nodded, his voice serious. "We don't have time. Grab on to me."
Kushina didn't hesitate. She placed her hand on the clone's shoulder and pulled Naruto to do the same.
"Boruto, you too," she said quickly.
Boruto nodded and reached out, touching the clone's shoulder.
Meanwhile, on the battlefield, bruise marks began appearing all over Urashiki's body. His face twisted in frustration as he kept phasing through the endless barrage of kunai and the flashing Kaito.
Sasuke narrowed his eyes. "What's happening…? How are those bruises appearing on him if he's phasing through everything?" he muttered.
After a minute, the assault stopped. Kaito reappeared where he had stood before, panting heavily.
Urashiki stopped moving. His body was covered in bruises and dried patches of slime. He snarled at Kaito. "I admit. I underestimated you… But I'll fix that."
He raised his arm to strike—but froze mid-motion.
Urashiki's eyes went wide. "W-What's happening…? Why can't I move?"
Kaito appeared in front of Urashiki, placing a palm on his chest. A seal began to spread across Urashiki's body and onto the ground.
"That technique you use," Kaito began, "it lets you warp time a few seconds into the past. That's how you dodged everything."
He kept his voice steady. "And not just once—you kept spamming it, reliving the attacks, predicting what came next. But each time you failed to dodge, the damage added up. You've been taking hits without noticing."
Urashiki's face twisted in anger and confusion as his body refused to move.
"As for why you can't move…" Kaito continued, his eyes sharp. "That's one of the abilities granted to sage mode users of Shikkotsu Forest. ya know, " The slime that coats Kaito's body can paralyze his opponents if it gets on them, and it also releases a gas that does the same thing, completely immobilizing the person who inhales it.
Urashiki's eyes darted around, trying to move, trying to phase—nothing worked.
"But I don't have time to explain it all to you…" Kaito said, narrowing his eyes. "Because this ends now."
Without another word, Kaito teleported, reappearing behind Sasuke. He placed a hand on Sasuke's back and teleported away.
At the same time, the clone inside the barrier teleported Kushina, Naruto, and Boruto away.

A few kilometers away, Kaito and the others reappeared. Kaito held up a half Ram hand sign and muttered, "Sage Art: Fuin Tandem Explosive." A moment later, the training ground erupted into a series of chained massive explosions.
Author's Note: Kaito used the Frog Kumite's invisible punch against Urashiki. Since it's a technique rather than a unique ability, he was able to recreate it after some experimentation.
