This deep mountain forest was originally where Yang the Blind was hiding; Aunt Xing and Foolish Girl were the first residents.
The original village suffered from the ravages of war, the men were all killed, and the women were tortured beyond recognition. Aunt Xing prayed to the Lifeless Mother to at least save her daughter, who had been beaten into foolishness, from this sea of suffering. A passerby, well, a blind man who had sneaked into the camp happened to hear her and casually saved them, bringing them back to the valley for settlement.
Others had roughly similar experiences, and as more people came to live here, the place became known as Apricot Village.
