Pausing for a moment, Edward Benson laughed and said, "I never thought the maniac liked the gentle type of man. It's not going to work for you, Thomas."
The more Thomas Shannon heard, the tighter his bright brow furrowed. "What should I do, then?"
Isn't it just a matter of catering to her preferences? What's so difficult about that?!
"You have to change your temper, Thomas. At least when you're dealing with the maniac, you can't get angry easily. Even if you're really angry, you can't vent your anger on her, yell at her, or be harsh with her. That's absolutely out of the question."
Though Edward Benson had spoken casually, his words were profound advice. Thomas Shannon's face suddenly darkened. "So, I have to spoil her? I can't even show her any displeasure?"
