Alexander Summers raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised by the stiffness in her tone.

Purple Summers shook her head, "The judge turned soft."
If they strictly followed the current laws, the judge should have dismissed this case outright.
"And what about you?" Alexander asked her, "I heard the fetus is already seven months old."
Seven months is already near term, and many premature babies these days can live well even after leaving the mother's body.
