Norris Moore bowed her head, fished a cigarette out of her pocket, and lit it with a lighter, taking a hard drag.
"It's okay," she said lightly, "I only have one life. If he wanted to, he could've ended it half a year ago. – At this point, I really have nothing to lose. And on the bright side, maybe he'll really fall in love with me?"
Saying this, she laughed.
But Aldana Candi couldn't laugh at all.
She walked over and sat down beside Norris, reaching out her hand to wrap around Norris' shoulder, letting her lean into her embrace.
"I can help you." She said softly, "Give me a chance?"
Norris shook her head, "No need."
Aldana had Norris stay for dinner. After eating, Norris hurried back.
Once Norris left, Eric Candi came back.
Aldana suspected that Eric had deliberately waited for Norris to leave before coming back.
For some reason, those two... just didn't get along.
Whenever they met, they would start arguing.
