[Earlier in Raiyama, Kuroriku]
I gulped as Eiro sat across from me in his dining room table. He sat there, his usual stoic self, not even eating.
He grumbled. "Speak."
"Uh, Amaya tasked me with going to Kasai no Ki to work out an alliance with them while she, Queen Amelia, and the others went to Taahid," I said, my hands trembling slightly. The food Eiro had prepared smelled delicious, but I could barely think of eating. It felt like I was staring down a literal lion faced angel.
"Kasai no Ki?" Eiro asked, a flicker of something—maybe curiosity—in his eyes. "And what does that have to do with me?"
"Uh, the other part was to get you to go to Mizu no Kin to ask them to help too. We need more allies if we are to stand against The Abyss, the Four Great Kingdoms, in addition to Taahid, have to put aside their differences. Otherwise, this world is doomed," I said, feeling my legs shaking under the table.
