(Jason's POV)
"But are you sure?" I asked aloud, "I mean, we can try and all....."
"It's fine." Mavis's voice said through the speaker, "Dealing with Erion can be a handful so another one might prove too much at this time."
I frowned, "Then why'd Kagura tell me you've been wanting one for a while?" I said
I was in the cockpit of The Archangel's Might, flying in the air and making my way to the Sun Village of Giants. I was speaking to Mavis and discussing what Kagura had told me yesterday. She said that Mavis was wanting a baby for a bit now and I wanted to talk about it with her.
Kagura left early in the morning after kissing Erion goodbye while he was asleep and I had to hurry up and get the ship in the air before the little rascal noticed or else he decided to follow.
"Well." She said, "I mean, I do....but...maybe it's a good idea to wait...I don't know if you want to."
"It ain't if I want one, Mavis." I said, "I already have one and all.....It doesn't matter what I want. What matters is what you want. If you want one, I'll be more than willing to give you one. It's just that you took me by surprise."
"We should talk about this when you get home." She said, "I mean...."
I raised an eyebrow, "What is it?"
"It's nothing." She said, "Fly safe. I have to go, Erion just transformed and is chasing a poor deer."
"Make sure he doesn't hurt it. He can be rough sometimes." I said
"Okay, bye." She said, "Love you."
I then heard as the line disconnected.
I sighed, "Damn." I said, "So she wants a kid, eh? I mean, she stepped up to be Erion's mother but....I mean...."
I kinda expected Mavis to get the baby fever sooner or later, but she has been too busy on taking care of Erion which isn't an easy task. The kid is aging faster than a regular human and all. Not only that, he's a frigging dragon too, so that adds a bit more stress. I try my best to be a good dad with him but he has his actual mother's unruly nature. Not only that, he's still a child and he might do things he doesn't understand to be bad.
Mavis has her hands full with him when she's alone and adding another one might be too much. Especially if I just leave once in a while to go out on adventures. I have tried not to do that for the past few months but both Mavis and Kagura have encouraged me to do so.
I'm only doing this specific journey to ask Atlas Flame some questions. If he's even there, his soul at least. I'll see what I could do, though.
"Sir." I heard Felicity's voice through the speaker, "Approaching the Sun Village."
I nodded as I looked out the window, "Alright." I said, "Activate stealth mode and descend outside the village. Don't want to alarm the locals."
"Very well." She said, "I have LC-Steel Haze on standby, sir. In case things go bad."
"Let's hope we don't have to use an Autonomous Cavalry, Felicity." I said,
"That could be too much."

"Who are you?" I heard a booming voice bellow as I walked through the massive streets of the village
I turned to see a giant towering over me as he looked at me with an alarmed face. He wasn't a shirt, only pants and sandals. His eyes were also slightly closed and he looked a bit drowsy. I assume I caught him in a nap or something.
I raised an eyebrow, "How did you even notice me?" I said, "If you were taking a nap and all..."
"I got up to get a drink of water." He said rubbing his hair, "And I noticed a human walking down the street."
I looked around the street, I was tiny compared to the massive towering buildings that were built for giants. I noticed they weren't any signs of Giants nearby other than this one that appeared behind me out of nowhere.
"Where are the others?" I asked
"Hey." He said with annoyed tone, "I asked you a question; Who are you?"
I looked at him, "My name's Jason." I said, "I mean no harm. I wish to speak to your leader. Well, not your leader specifically. I just seek audience with the Eternal Flame?"
He raised an eyebrow, "The Eternal Flame?" He said, "What for?"
"That's my business." I told him, "Like I said, I wish to speak to your leader about that."
"Listen here hu-" He started
"It's okay, Finlay." I heard a voice say
We both turned to see a human woman walking up to us. She was wearing a long red dress that had a very revealing cleavage. As she approached, she had a weird slanted pose as she looked at me while she had her hands in front of her. Her long red hair was in the usual braided style as it reached her hips.
I recognized her; it was Flare Corona, a member of Raven Tail. Or at least she's supposed to be. I'm not sure if she's a member. Considering that I see no guild mark on her large cleavage, I assume she isn't.
"Flare." The giant said, "You know this man?"
Flare reached us, "I know of him." She said, "This man is Jason, Finlay. The God of Darkness."
"T-T-The God of Darkness?!?" Finlay stammered, "The one that defeated Acnologia and pushed Alvarez back?!"
Flare nodded, "Yes." She said, "He's strong. Do not antagonize him."
I crossed my arms, "And you're Flare Corona, right?" I said
Flare gave me a slight smile, "I'm pleasantly surprised a legendary man such as yourself knows my name." She said
"You were a member of a Dark Guild." I said, "I keep tabs on them."
"No more." She said as she fidgeted with her hands, "It's a long story....."
I nodded, "Okay." I said, "Can I speak to your leader?"
"Unfortunately, Master Ragnar isn't in the village." She said, "He embarked on a journey to Guiltina a couple of weeks ago. He communed with The Eternal Flame and saw a vision of pure dread. He took the village's mightiest warrirors and left."
A vision? Atlas Flame told the Giants to go to Guiltina? Why? The fuck. This adds more questions.
I sighed, "Okay then." I said, "Who's in charge?"
"The Elder, Ravena." She said, "But she's currently bed-ridden with an illness. She is in no condition to speak to outsiders."
"Damn." I said, "I need to speak to the Eternal Flame."
She widened her eyes, "The Flame?" She said as she blushed slightly
"O-Oi!" Finlay said, "Flare, if you're thinking what I think you're thinking, don't! That's just a dumb tradition our ancestors forced upon shunned human captors. You don't have to-"
"Quiet." Flare cut him off
"What are you talking about?" I asked the Giant
"In order for a Human to commune with the Eternal Flame, they must first pass a trial." She said as she tucked her hair behind her ear while blushing, "This is only applicable if the leaders of the village are unavailable."
"It's a foolish thing!" Finlay said, "Nobody has done it in generations. And Flare here, we wouldn't force it upon her at all. But I have no clue why she would become obsessed with that specific part of our customs."
I raised an eyebrow, "Is it what I think it is?" I asked the Giant
"Y-Yea...." He said with a look of shame
"Indeed, Jason." Flare said as she smiled, "I have awaited an opportunity like this."
I looked at her, she was rubbing her hands together as she looked down while blushing.
"Oookay...." I said as I rubbed my hair, "I guess."
Flare looked at me, "Very well." She said, "If you wish to speak to the Flame...."
"You must have sex with me."
