Chapter 530 - Chapter 530: Paradox

To say it disoriented them is an understatement. The mind was struggling to handle such loops between the two, swirling across their thoughts in such miasma. For every attempt they'd reach out, they'd only repeat the same attack they made before. For every gesture, they only cycled into infinitum, all while the Gem Dragon kept bombarding the two in such elements. Thunder, Rainfall, Fire, Ice. Whatever element was available came down in a hailstorm, shredding down any defenses, whittling down their strengths, weakening them the longer they remained in such a loop.

Taro watched on as the two were taken care of, turning his back away and heading forward towards the Castle. "As expected. Paradox Dragon is more than enough for an answer when it comes to close-range casters..." He'd began, as he'd keep his distance from the remains of blood left behind by Bathory's flood. "...Though I must admit, they were definitely more than prepared against us. That mummy told us they were already doing something should we come abroad at a later date, thus our choice to invade early. To see them already having a plan this quick... either they're smarter than anyone else within the Circle... or King is here." He'd be quick to prepare his gauntlet, flipping through such chambers, letting the tiles show themselves once he pressed its side.

Three Earths and one Mind. "Tch... wished I had the latter instead." He'd mumble as he'd let it emit a dark brown aura, unleashing the beast across the destroyed ground, letting such Dragons appear from it. When using the triple combination, the beast would grow an extra head, splitting off from the neck in order to act as more eyes. Such a beast took in the surrounding area for its construction, taking in the grey and red stonework that acted as the remains of the buildings beside him. A quick signal was sent to invade into the Castle, allowing it to use its body to ram through the sides, barreling ahead and boring a massive hole as a result. "If the latter is correct, I may need to keep an eye on Cliffside. No doubt his Daughter is ensuring the beast is kept locked tight..." He'd bite into his nails as he goes deep in such a thought, wondering what to do against the King of All if he ever encounters him. He may take pride in such combat, but throwing oneself into him is suicide.

THWACK!!!

Right as he was trying to formulate a plan in order to bring the Giant out of the Mountainside without being caught by such royal might, he would be tackled from behind, his eyes widening as he'd look and see Adel's body flung towards him. That wasn't supposed to happen. He'd turn around fully and grabbing ahold of the Serpent, before noticing a sharp hole dug through his chest, his fears being quickly formed as he'd check his eyes. Lifeless, yet not for long. Another hole made on his shoulder, as Adel planted his feet on the earth and used all his might to pull Taro over, planting him straight into the ground, burying him by the neck up. The massive roars heard would cause him to run ahead, reaching towards the massive, two-headed monstrosity. He'd grab it by its tail and pulled it back, dragging it out of the Castle's cavity, before spinning around and using it as a weapon to smite down and bury Taro further in the rock and stone.

Amazed, the Human Vritra grabbed ahold of the beast's body, letting it roar and soar upwards, pulling him out of the hole and letting go, landing feet first as he'd rush ahead at the Serpent. "HOW DID YOU GOT OUT OF THERE!?" He'd shout.

"BY KILLING MYSELF, THAT'S WHAT!!" Adel barked back. The hole on his chest began to heal away, shocking Taro further as he recognized what he meant. To disrupt the flow of a loop in this way, he can't help but ponder if Koina did the same thing, or if she found a different solution entirely. The implant made would cause his head to struggle in keeping his focus, as was for Adel to maintain his breath and strength thanks to his own piercing. He'd launch the dragon away, prompting Taro to bend and limbo under the beast, before seeing where it was heading.

The Paradox Dragon was wide open for the attack, and whilst it tried to get away, it lost its momentum in keeping the loop steady. Koina looked on in the distance, dagger in her hand, as she'd launch a massive arc, letting it trail through the bloody stains, letting it act as a bridge to reach towards the Vritra. "So THAT'S what happened. Koina must've assisted in the suicide before kicking him out. The loop only applies its connection through a drastic event as the base, so I figured my own demise would act as that base. This cheeky bastard made a brand new one by his own corpse, delaying his revival up until that moment! Since when can he choose whether or not to come back from death!?" The Vritra thought to himself, as he'd gain an ear-to-ear grin. He'd look down towards Adel, seeing he was close enough to issue a heavy slash against his legs, an attempt to cleave them off and spread his venom from the stumps.

A massive smoke was blasted out, pushing Taro further in the weave, letting his body arch in the same manner, planting his hands on the pavement so he can lift his legs and issue a crescent kick, launching the Serpent upwards. A Valiant effort, but a short-lived one. For his attack wasn't just to evade the claws sharpened in such toxin.

But also was used to position Adel directly in the incoming arc's way, a direct hit that would split his body down the middle, freezing such sides and spreading it across, an iceberg that would tether itself into the building's remains.
