The Beldam reached out in retaliation, as Harvard would cast out Darkness, a void ball that immediately pulled her close, letting the boy land a gut punch into her stomach. He'd lower the ball down and force the witch to kneel, being met with a knee to her chin. Two cards were casted, one to cut the distance and be behind her, the other as chains to wrap around her neck and strangle her. The Beldam would re-create her toys and have them focus their fire on Harvard, but the child didn't relent. He'd power through the projectiles piercing through his body, pulling her around and winding up a heavy hook. She'd strike back with a slash against his eyes, but the Card Magician merely allowed the ball to trail and strike at her abdomen again, changing the spell with another card, a ball of light that pushed her into one of the shattered walls, pinning her, as he'd set up three cards. He could see the Witch try to intercept him, using the terrain to disorient the boy, but a quick stab into the ground allowed him to remain afoot as he'd cast out a weapon to face the Metallic Hag.
A Sword, adorned with Banshee, its shape changing to be a visible echo, stretching from tip to base across the blade. One slash was enough to launch a piercing sound that stunned the soldiers, allowing Criollo to swoop in and hack down each and every one, while he maintained his own focus against the Witch. He'd see her wind up a strike, allowing her tail to intercept him should he evade. Instead, the boy would block with his blade, making the strike reverberate and screech once more, disorienting everyone around. It was at this point that the Beldam knew he was trying to exploit her sensitivity of sound by such noise, forcing her to tangle the blade with her tail and rip it away from Harvard's grip, a quick stomp to his skull to pin him down and prevent him from approaching further. A spell was casted to cut the distance once again, The Sigil in his hand quickly taking in the blade and summoning Banshee out from it, converting its markings with Monster Seal to extract the beast and overwhelm her with the beast.
A Beholder-like creature, thousands of snake-like heads around her body, as well as a serpents body. The boy was quick on creating a second seal, planting it on the ground as Banshee screeched and barraged as much as she could with her many heads, pushing the Beldam to the ground, letting Harvard extract the energy out in order to summon another monster: Lamia. Once both monsters were set, it only takes one more spell to combine the two and allow them to do some true damage. "Fu.... Sion..."
BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!
A combination between both Gorgons, the Snake's heads and arms converging to be a hydra-like monstrosity, with Lamia's face guards implanted as proper armor against her scales. Banshee's face would be present when the heads converged, a hollow hole that began to lash out, bites and precise sound pressure to rupture and cut through the steel body the Beldam once had. As she'd feel her arms and chest torn from within, her body also began going through a paralysis. The sound it makes has bonded with the venom, allowing the Fused form to inflict its poison not through mere strikes and direct bite, but through sound itself. Normally, such physical damage wouldn't do much with her metallic hide, but having it traverse through sound is a death sentence. In order to prevent herself from further being inflicted, she'd pierce through her own eardrums with what little movement she was able to do, at the very least rending out any further progress from the venom. It didn't, however, stopped the new Gorgon from hammering her down with headbutts after headbutts, colliding her across the ruined area, threatening the shop to collapse in on itself.
Harvard would set up a Potion and drink it up, rejuvenating his energy output, as he'd watch on and see the Beldam struggle with the venom. Despite having the advantage, the boy can't help but be nervous, still under the assumption she is a lethal threat. He'd close his eyes and take a deep breath, charging ahead and trying to ensure his advantage is kept. As he does, he can't help but reminisce a bit. Such violence. Such creed. He smiled as he remembered what it was like.
When his Mother was there for him, before he attained his cards. Before he even grew a conscious and proper self-awareness of his surroundings.
He'd try to shake such memories away, but they inevitably resurface when it wants to. Whether it was the Beldam's retaliation by flipping over the beast in a piledriver, before slinking away into the ground, using the ruined floorboards to run across and sneak an attack, to Harvard's counter with a Crystal Skull, implanting a spell on it, allowing her to connect it and shatter it across her body. A snap of his fingers triggers the spell, an ocean that floods her back, drowning her in the middle of the restaurant, prompting the new Gorgon to lash out once again, binding around her and trying to let in as much water as possible.
He was able to recall his Mother doing such a similar thing, where she would take notice of a beast that tried to kill him one picnic day. He could still hear the grunts and screams from the woman as she'd beat it with an inch of its life, all while he remained oblivious to such dangers. He could see that very beast reflected onto the Beldam, and even with such mirror-paned eyes, the Witch's emotions were as prevalent as what Harvard expected: Unbridled Rage. A wrath that consumes her very being.
She knew very well who he was. She was just as furious when she knew he adopted his mother's violent spirit.
