"Alright, alright. We get it. I want you to know though that your little game costed HALF of the House to be incinerated. We're expecting MASSIVE payout from you, kid, once you're done meeting with our Goddess!" The Jelly Guard demanded, as the two would be quick on opening the doors, knocking three times and letting it swing wide for everyone to go inside. The group would try to head inside, but as soon as Harvard tried his first step, he immediately fell over. "...Seriously!? No more games, kid! You alread enter-" The Guard reprimanded, before seeing the situation again. Even though the child was back properly, his biology back to being a cookie-like state, his legs doesn't seem to be functioning anymore. Worried, the guard was quick on investigating his legs, poking at them with his blade.
It didn't even pull away, just lifeless on the ground as if it was dead weight.
"....Ok so either excruciating pain or losing my legs. Got it. Man, this Magic stuff's hard..." Harvard complained, as he'd have his arms move to drag him into the building, annoyed as he has to deal with such a deficit if he wishes to evolve his Monster Magic again with Evolution. The Jelly Guard couldn't help but feel horrified about his nonchalant nature at such a heavy cost, but Criollo was quick to pat him on the shoulder and shake his head, letting him know it wasn't worth it. Once everyone got inside, with Criollo carrying Harvard to prevent any issues, Zazel was able to check up on Harvard and try to cast a sigil to let him regain feeling. To their surprise, the spell did absolutely nothing, almost as if it wasn't affected. Harvard would test this limitation with his own spells, though as soon as he felt his energy, he could see the problem again. "...Ohhhh, that's what happened."
"What?" Zazel asked.
"It's just straight up dead. I thought my legs went numb or something but no, it's gone. I'd have to replace them later on when we get out of here."
"Your legs DIED??"
"Extreme energy output, most likely." Criollo commented, as he'd show his hand, letting the demon feel and see that it was also numb, but was at least controllable. "Pumping too much energy at such a drastic rate would be enough to overwhelm the body inhabiting it. It would shut down any function due to excess and 'kill' whatever was there. Considered lethal if placed in the head or chest, considering the brain or heart is close by."
"...So you mean to tell me our own magic can KILL US if we use it wrong!?"
"Pretty much, although it's not a bad thing. Think of it like exercise. You're letting the body rest so that, when you go overboard, it can handle the excess and spread it easier and faster, up until the next. So long as you're also careful where the output is, it could result in slowly accustoming your system to extreme trauma from your energy or even other attacks."
"Doesn't change the fact you can still DIE! What are you guys... ??" Zazel would back away from the 'deceased' legs, concerned as to how Harvard was going to recover such, before being interrupted and signaled by the two Guards of the Goddess' chambers. Upon entering, a massive, white light meets them. A chapel adorned with many cookies in its walls, all of which conveyed many stories and legends within the House, with some familiar faces that even the children knew. Harvard pointed towards one with Criollo's at the top right, showing him facing against a porridge-like dragon. Zazel became shocked when he saw a salt cube with a bulky cape, similar to the Bounty Hunter he was forced to fight against. Stolas would point towards a third and fourth with his cracker beak, matching the same build as King and Sozo, depicting their descendants as the sun and moon, the two fathers staring at one another ready to murder. Solomon glanced quickly at the Goddess, blinking a bit when he saw two cookies that prayed to her, one of them being similar to his own mother.
Of course, all of such paled to the marvel that was before them. A ball of Sugar similar to that of Saturn, with three rings circling around it, each ring possessing four eyes, one on each direction. Such sugar is mixed between white and brown, almost as if it was constantly cooking itself underneath its radiance. Three hands were visible outside of the celestial body, each one with a mouth on its palm: a man's, a woman's, and a cat's. The guards and Flourence would kneel down, the latter looking over to ensure the others follow as well. "Oh Wise and Mighty Goddess. Wielder of the Hands of Fate. Kneader of our Dough. Maker of our Home. We beseech for ye your knowledge and pardon once more." The Guards chanted, before Flourence cleared his throat.
"Oh Divine Goddess of Kindness and Generosity, I ask of your attention, as our newcomers demand your presence. These six are lost lambs in need of guidance. Of Knowledge. Please... answer their prayers for us, oh Sweet and Lovely Divine..." Flourence asked, on his hands and knees, his eyes shut as he'd let the hands pet the cookie.
When she speaks, it would be through all three mouths, a gruff voice from the Man, a soft voice from the Cat, and a Cheery voice from the Woman. "Thank you for such notice. I must admit, you have indeed came at a bad time. This was our time to mourn for the dearly departed." They spoke, much to Flourence's nervousness.
"I-I understand that, my Graciousness. H-however, they are incredibly persiste-"
"So are you like, edible or something?" Harvard asked, immediately intensifying the situation and having his friends shut him up again. The Goddess merely stared at the boy, blinking, before its eyes grow wide and its pupils dilate. The Guards besides Criollo would hope the child paid his tithe in such insolence, whilst Flourence began to regret every decision made, as the hands were quick on snatching him, carrying him, staring at him in what they assumed was malice. "Hi Hi! Harvard Helsing! Nice to meet you, Lady!"
"Please kill this kid."
"He is so dead."
"This child's going to assassinate us in our sleep..."
Mumbles from the guards rose, yet the Goddess' voice boomed, not out of hatred or anger, but by pure joy, the eyes' crying in such jubilation. "The child of Limosa and Ichabon!!! How good it is to see their descendant! You have NO idea how much we were expecting you!"
"...S'cuse me. Hold up. You know my parents!??"
"Of course! I'm your Mother's friend, after all! I suppose that makes me your honorary aunt!"
"...S'CUSE ME!?"
