Chapter 64 - 40:

.

The time it took to return to his world was one month. It would have taken longer, but Ryoichi's mastery over the Space aspect of Spacetime had increased considerably during this period.

After arriving in Konoha, Ryoichi wasn't able to continue his research immediately. He had to waste a few months managing everything that had happened in his absence especially the transfer of Kurama. It seems that in his absence, Mito could no longer hold on and transferred the tailed beast to Kushina.

After consoling Tsunade, Ryoichi was finally able to return to his research. Many things needed to be done, and he had little patience for others distracting him from doing them.

Once his research resumed, Ryoichi focused on the genes he had acquired from the Kōritenshi Patriarch and the Dragon Sage. After intensive study, he was able to come up with a path to safely inject the qualities of their genes into his own.

The path he devised was inspired by two stories he had read in his previous life: Reverend Insanity and Marvel- Spider-Man to be exact.

The genes of these beings were dominant. They carried a will that was too corruptive and overbearing. Even Hashirama's genes could not hold a candle to them.

So, the only way to assimilate these beings safely was to create something that could not be corrupted and let his body slowly acquire these traits. With that, he conceived the idea of creating a mixture of a symbiote and a Gu.

With such a creation, he could acquire the traits within these genes and assimilate them without risking being overridden or destroyed by the conflicting wills of the Dragon Sage or the Kōritenshi Patriarch.

Once Ryoichi had his plan, he immediately dived into creating the symbiotic Gu. He first constructed its body using the genes of the Dragon Sage, the Kōritenshi Patriarch, and his own his own being a modified gene line containing Otsutsuki DNA. He chose his own genes rather than those of a pure-blooded Otsutsuki to ensure the Gu would be more compatible and bond easily with him.

Once the Gu's body was complete, Ryoichi moved on to the final and most important step: the creation of an artificial soul that could not be corrupted by the wills of the Dragon Sage or the Kōritenshi.

Using his Soul Release, he created a soul with a very specific set of programs that could not be changed, evolved, or upgraded. He got this idea from the very first novel he ever read: Abe the Wizard.

The sole task of this soul was to help his body acquire the traits encoded in those powerful genes.

The experiment period lasted for months- nine months to be exact as Ryoichi was forced to leave his lab when he heard about the birth of his daughter.

It seems the time he spent consoling Tsunade had resulted in unexpected consequences.

Ryoichi sighed as he left the lab. It seemed his impatience had caused him to take fewer precautions, but who could blame him? He thought Tsunade would take measures, especially after so many family members she had lost.

Unfortunately, Ryoichi didn't know that Mito's last wish was for Tsunade to continue the bloodline.

Life once again changed for Ryoichi. And for the first time in years, he didn't know how to handle it.

His child- his daughter Ayame was a ball of sunshine. Every time he saw her, his heart felt like it was constricting. Her smile could light up his mood. No matter how much he disliked being away from his lab, a single smile from her could wash it all away.

Ryoichi found himself in a dilemma he had never experienced before. He didn't know how to act around his daughter. And as she grew, that uncertainty only deepened. With no knowledge of fatherhood, he resorted to the only example he had- his father from his previous life, which in hindsight, was a bad decision.

His daughter was very smart, and as she grew, she began to notice his withdrawn nature. Unknowingly, she started doing things to seek his attention and acknowledgment.

It reminded Ryoichi of what Aina had once said about his daughter. He wanted to change this nature of hers, but by the time he realized it, it was already too late.

Ayame's cognitive function developed very quickly—so much so that Ryoichi initially suspected she might be a reincarnator like him. But after many tests, he concluded otherwise.

Later, by testing her secretly in his lab, he discovered that his improved brain had become a Kekkai Genkai. This made Ayame's brain function almost equal to his when he was her age.

As time passed, Ryoichi adapted to his new life, he learned to handle his life with his family while also continuing his research and a few years later, he finally succeeded in creating the Symbiosis Gu.

As Ayame enrolled in the Shinobi Academy, Ryoichi began his first true step toward immortality.

Of the thousands of paths leading to immortality, Ryoichi chose evolution. As he began evolving his body with Spacetime essence, he became even more absent from his daughter's life. That led her to become even more desperate for his attention.

By the start of the Third Shinobi War, Ryoichi's body had become completely paralyzed. But with orders passed to Mirai, everything continued according to his plan.

The creation of Akatsuki, the death of Rin, and the birth of "Madara Uchiha" (Obito) but unlike Black Zetsu controlling everything, it was Ryoichi who orchestrated it all.

The end of the Third Shinobi War was even more devastating, so much so that a non-conflict treaty lasting twenty years was signed by all the villages under the Akihara Village banner.

Another thing that happened during these years was the explosion of technological progress—surpassing even that of Boruto's era. With train tracks connecting everything, cheaper grain, and better utility tools, the world became unrecognizable from just a few years prior.
