Chapter 62 - 38:

.

Ryoichi arrived at the Sage Planet, a planet bigger than many stars. It was so massive that it had a sun revolving around it rather than a moon.

And It was the only planet in the entire solar system.

Ryoichi approached the planet, and the moment he did, he felt nauseous from the sheer amount of natural energy it radiated.

He hadn't even reached the planet yet and already felt overwhelmed. One could only imagine how much energy the planet's environment contained. But he didn't absorbed the energy as it has will could be nuisance to the upcoming fight.

Finally, he reached the planet and flew towards the Dragon Sage. He didn't have to fly far, as he felt the dragon moving toward him.

Ryoichi stopped flying and landed on a mountain. He looked up to see the golden sky of the Sage Planet darken.

Clouds started appearing and began covering the blackened sky. Once the dark sky was completely shrouded in thick, almost solid clouds, lightning began flashing, loud and raging.

*Crackle!!!* *Crackle!!!*

Each flash lit up the darkened sky. And through those flashes, a monstrous shadow revealed itself behind the clouds. It was massive and intimidating.

An innate aura oozed from the figure, evoking primal fear and awe. A feeling that sheaps feels seeing a wolf or a deer feels towards a lion. A kind of feeling that premate from their DNA towards their natural hunters.

Ryoichi looked at the figure of the Eastern Dragon, his Haki easily piercing through the thick cloud and locking onto the dragon.

His calm eyes met with the slitted eyes of primal fire as a thunderous voice echoed, louder even than the flashing lightning.

"Why hast thou breached mine domain?"

Ryoichi stopped gazing at the dragon and looked at his surroundings, his senses prickling with hidden danger and murderous aura radiating from the world around him. The very nature of the planet considered him an enemy for standing against the dragon.

"Why the sudden hostility? Can a man not roam this beauty of a planet?" he asked, looking back to the dragon.

He heard the dragon snort, which sounded more like mountains collapsing.

"Beauty? Thy intent speaketh differently."

'Intent?' Ryoichi mused. 'Can intent also be read?' he questioned.

Ryoichi had long created failsafe for telepaths and empaths. But he never thought of creating something for intent. He never knew they could be felt, let alone read.

It made him wonder what else his opponent could perceive. Will? The nature of his energy? The will and intent hidden in that energy?

He thought of all of them as he prepared for battle. He quickly came up with a rudimentary technique to conceal everything just as a beam of condensed heat tore through the clouds and reached him.

A green glow engulfed his arm, and he slapped the beam away. The beam vanished, banished eternally in time.

Even so, Ryoichi looked at his hand as a red burn mark faded. The heat condensed in that beam had been enough to overcome even time itself.

Ryoichi clenched his arm as the green glow expanded from his hand and covered his entire body. He launched himself toward the Dragon Sage, his speed easily eclipsing the speed of light.

Even so, the Dragon Sage reacted. His massive golden claw appeared before Ryoichi, ripping the very fabric of space with its sharpness.

Just as it reached, Ryoichi vanished and appeared behind the Dragon Sage with a humongous green sphere above him.

Ryoichi dropped the spear on the Dragon Sage, completely catching him off guard.

The Chrono-stasis sphere swallowed the Dragon Sage, and immediately, the giant dragon stopped moving.

The success of his attack didn't bring Ryoichi joy instead, a frown appeared on his face as a tremendous amount of Nature energy filled the sphere, straining it.

A vein popped on Ryoichi's forehead as he focused on neutralizing the continuously increasing energy.

To make matters worse, Ryoichi felt the world around him working against him. Gravity increased suddenly. The falling rain turned into thin ice needles, and sharp wind blades cut into him.

Even the clouds above built an absolutely gigantic charge, enough to destroy his Chrono-Stasis Sphere.

And as Ryoichi expected, lightning thick as a pillar fell on the Chrono-Stasis Sphere.

The sphere rippled wildly but it held and didn't shatter.

The lightning, strong enough to destroy a moon, was useless against the time sphere.

But the world didn't let go, it prepared another charge, bigger and stronger than the last.

Lightning fell again on the sphere, and this time it didn't stop. It continued falling in a stream for minutes.

The energy used was enough to snuff a star dry.

When the clouds finally ran out of charge, the Chrono-Stasis Sphere revealed itself with small cracks that healed immediately.

Another charge started building in the clouds, this time with even more energy.

Sensing the losing game, Ryoichi cut off his chakra and let the Chrono-Stasis Sphere go.

He had no intention of measuring his energy reservoir against a star-sized planet made of Nature energy not when his opponent wasn't even using any energy himself.

Instead, Ryoichi created an Odama Rasengan bigger than a mountain and condensed it to the size of a ping pong ball.

He flicked the ball toward the ground just as lightning fell again, and the suspended Chrono-Sphere was destroyed.

The Dragon Sage was freed from the time prison, and his eyes fell on the condensed Odama Rasengan.

Despair flashed in the dragon's eyes as he and Ryoichi both felt the Rasengan tearing through the crust and mantle - reaching the core before exploding along with it.

Immediately, the whole planet destabilized.

A roar filled with misery and agony rang out as the enraged Dragon Sage flew toward Ryoichi.

He reached him in the shortest time imaginable, his claws tearing toward Ryoichi, enclosed in space-melting heat.

The claws reached and passed through him. But no wounds or injuries appeared on Ryoichi.

The Dragon Sage attacked again but all his strikes passed the same way.

It was as if Ryoichi existed in a different space-time continuum.

Just as the Dragon Sage changed his tactic, the planet finally exploded in a supernova.

A bright light engulfed the entire planet and began to condense. Everything surrounding the planet was sucked into the energy even the sun revolving around it could not escape.

And then it happened - an explosion expanded across a considerable portion of the galaxy.

The cataclysmic heat and energy released from it tore through everything in its path.

Planets, stars, and solar systems vanished in the blink of an eye.

And once the explosion faded, the space where the Sage Planet once floated was dead. Nothing could be seen by any observable means.

Except for a huffing dragon.

Ryoichi floated down from nowhere and leveled his eyes with the seething gaze of the Dragon Sage.

"Why the anger? I just evened the playing field," he said casually and sent ambient Nature energy to a different time-space with a wave of his hand.

"Time for round two… " Ryoichi commented as the dragon charged.
