Feeling a splitting headache and a sore body, Nick sat up and looked around in confusion. It was a beautiful park with a swingset nearby, the grass was a emerald green and a nice breeze blew by that soothed Nicks bruise.
"Sif....thats enough..." hearing the voice of thor, Nick craned his neck to see the God of Lightning collapsed on the floor while a stray dog was licking his face.
"Ah shit that's right, I met up with Thor." He said remembering where he was and what he was doing.
Nick was a 25 year old superhuman who previously used to work for the NIA, the last time he got full on drunk was when he was 18.
Realizing that he might've gotten a little too lax, Nick stood up and shooed the dog away. He realized today was the day the destroyer came and he needed to get ready, there was an opportunity Nick could grab during all of this!
The giant Destroyer robot was nearly a hundred seperate pieces of enchanted Uru glued together via magic, after Thor destroys it, it should be in pieces that Nick could smuggle away before shield snatches it all!
Later, Phil Coulsin would use a powerful gun made from the Destroyers remains. It shot out the magical energy blast that did some serious power, Nick planned on getting some of those pieces of Uru. He didnt plan on making a weapon with the still enchanted pieces of uru, he planned on somehow using the infinite source of regenerating magic to create a power source!
Nick didnt know how the asgardian magic tools worked, whether it recharged the energy from the ambient magic in the atmosphere or calling upon other dimensions for power. That being said, he didnt need to know how it worked to know they never appear to run out of energy!
The main problem with Nick plan was shield, more specifically Agent Coulson was here and originally he would pilfer the entire Destroyer body. If he wanted steal some Uru he'd have to do it quickly and covertly, thankfully Nick had the tools necessary in his trunk.
Realizing that he'd need to get ready, Nick kicked thor in the thighs awaking him.
"Ah who ar- Nicholas! Thats right, I am on the mortal realm.... i am quite famished, lets get something to eat!" Nick could see the immense sadness in Thors eyes after remembering he wasnt in asgard with his friends and family.
Giving him a hand, Nick pulled thor to his feet..
"We'll go back to thag diner, i just got to walk back to the car. " Nick had left it at the bar.
The two had begun walking towards the car for minutes, chatting about how their drunken fight went. Just as they finally arrived and Nick unlocked the door to get in, he hear faint shouts from behind.
"...or...."
"....its ...im!"
"Thor!"
Nick quickly turned around and was shocked to see four asgardian warriors quickly running af them. Tapping the shoulders of thor, the midly hungover god turned around and looked in the direction of where Nick pointed.
Seeing his friends racing torward him, Thor's face turned to a giant smile.
"My friends!" Walking forward with his arms stretched out, all four came in for a hug from thor. All parties were smiling and laughing, spotting Nick standing there Volstagg, who was the largest of the four, stepped forward.
"Parton us, that is lady Sif and we are the warriors three!" Volstagg said introducing themselves with a rough bow.
"Nicholas Valentine, but you can call me Nick." Outstretching his hand for a shake, Volstagg grabbed Nicks hand and yanked him into a quick hug, laughing the entire time.
'These asgardian sure are friendly.' Being a warrior race thats constantly in life or death fights, the asgardians gained a mentality of everyday being a blessing. They were a lot more outgoing as they lived everyday to the fullest.
"Nicholas, these are my friends i told you about. This one here is lady Sif, he's Volstagg, that's Hogan, and he's Fandral!" After introducing his friends to Nick, a sudden realization came over thor as his smiles dampened.
"I appreciate this friends, but you shouldnt have come." Thor adopted a melancholy smile.
"What are you talking about, we've come to bring you home!"
"You know i cant come home... My father is dead because of me, i must remain in exile..." to Thors words all four of the asgardian frowned.
"Thor, your father lives!" A shocked thor stood frozen at these words, he was about to speak when suddenly the ground shook. Looking around, all 6 of them were shocked as a giant storm cloud turned into a tornado and touched ground far off intobthe distance, just a moment later the cloud disappeared as a larger object stood where the tornado touched down.
"The destroyer! Thats not possible, only the king of asgard cant control th-Loki!" A look of realization overcame Thor, he realized everything was apart of Loki's plan!
"We have to evacuate the people, this town will be destoying!" Thor shouted out as Nick saw the destroyed quickly making its way to town! Opening up his trunk, Nick took out a mega phone and pistal
Aiming it at the floor, Nick unloaded his entire pistol into the ground startling the people of the small town
"EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY, THIS NOT A DRILL! DO NOT TRAVEL ON THE MAIN ROADS, RUN AWAY!" Nodding at Nicks approach, Thor began rushing into buildings and guiding them out and away from the incoming robot sent to kill him.
Being mortal, Thor had no power and would just get in the way, but the four asgardian warriors chose to approach the Destroyer head on.
By the time it finally reached the town, Nick and Thor managed to evacuate those in the vicinity, Nick immediately turned Antigravity Harness on and his AMS. He didnt plan to fight this magical robot, but he did need to touch it if he wanted to steal some of its Uru.
Minutes passed as the Destroyer atrived at the middle of town, a path of destruction was left in its wake. The destroyer had began to glowing orange and the face shield lowered, revealing a blast of energy that completely exploded the car that stood in its way!
Lady Sif broke away from the group as Volstagg of the warriors three nodded at his two compatriots. Running towards his friend, the both of them lowered their hand to throw the warrior Volstagg insanely fast!
Nick just saw a blur flying towards the destroyer, a blur that was immediately swatted to the side by the destroyer and landing in a deserted car! The Destroyers heavy and menacing steps lumbers to Volstagg, the face shield once again lowered as energy began to charge up.
It was at this moment that lady sif, who'd broken away from the group, launched herself off a building and stabbed her double blade sword straight through the Destroyer! Nick immediately rushed in noticing this opportunity.
"Lady Sif, do you need help down from there" Nick said to the woman still on the back of the 10ft tall robot, he placed his hands on it casually.
Nick used the excuse of helping her down to touch the magical robot, he was actually activating his Telekinesis ability and pouring the energy into it! His first step of the plan was completed as the Destroyer began to suddenly move, orange energy began to shine from between the gaps in the metal.
"Run away human!" Lady Sif jumped off the robot and began running, Nick didnt need the warning as he was already further away than Sif!
The destroyer controlled by loki looked at Nick fleeing before turning to the asgardians who were the actual threat. The shield on its dace lowered as a beam of orange magical energy shot threw the air and exploded on the ground near Sif, causing her to be sent flying and smashing into a brick wall!
The warrior three tried to reach her, but the Loki controlled Destroyed immediately sent them flying by launching an energy blasts! Dread filled the air as it was apparent that everyone was going to die!
The destroyer kicked lady Sif near the Warrior three, its face shield lowered as it prepared to kill all four of them in one blast.
"Loki wait!" Hearing the voice of his brother, Loki controlled the destroyer to turn around. Theres, standing as a mortal, was his brother Thor!
"Brother i dont know what ive done to make you this angry at me but im sorry! I just beg of you, spare those four and the humans of this town!...You may take my life but please spare them..." The destroyer lumbered over to Thor, its face shields lowered and energy began to glow orange.
"Im sorry brother..." at this remark the Destroyers orange energy faded away, as there was a moment of silence as Thors face turned into a hopeful smile only for him to be smack by the Destroyers hand and sent flying into a building!
Nick watched this all with worry, he just hoped Thor had actually learnt his lesson on earth and became worthy once again. Watching the Destroyer walk away, Nick unlocked the trunk of his car and waited preparing to take action, praying to anything that Thor was okay.
As the Destroyer walked just 20 feet away, the Automaton looked up into the sky and saw an object creating sonic booms as it broke the sound barrier. The object flew past him and Loki realize what it was!
With a strike of lightning, the object landed into the hands of the wounded thor! His wounds had began healing and a set of Asgardians armour quickly replaced his I ♡ New Mexico shirt!
Smiling at the scene, Nick knew hed just gained loads of Uru metal as the God of Lightning had awakened!
