Chapter 608 - Chapter 608: You've Already Lost

"What are you doing?"

"Damn it! Take him down!"

"Bastard!"

Above the military camp where over ten million locusts were gathered, exclamations and curses echoed as their supreme commander, the Executioner, was pierced through the chest by another locust wielding a thunderbolt.

"This power... you're not a locust!" The Executioner's compound eyes coldly stared at Muria. "You're an interdimensional invader!"

Boom—

Shattered insect armor and foul insect fluids flew as Muria wielded the Spear of Dawn, twisting it within the Executioner's chest. Golden thunderbolts ravaged his body, shattering his strength, while materialized winds swirled like blades, tearing apart his organs, muscles, and bones. Dragon flames then burned away his life force.

With almost a single spear thrust, Muria exploded the Executioner's chest, tearing his body in half. Muria then flew back, leaving a long trail in the air, and resumed his Titan form, ten meters tall. Locusts were not large creatures, comparable in size to humans, so using his Titan form in battle was not appropriate.

"Not bad," Muria laughed, flexing his wrist. The old locust, who had lived for an unknown length of time, had slashed at him with six weapons that could barely be called swords. Although they couldn't penetrate the defense of Saintly Glory Armor, they still hurt him a bit.

However, with Muria's current physique, a bit of movement was enough to heal. With legendary recovery abilities, wounds that didn't heal quickly usually had residual power left by the opponent, as was the case with the old locust facing Muria. Its almost severed body was now recovering slowly because it had to dispel the power Muria left in its body.

"God-King..." The Executioner, shrouded by the shadow of death, looked at the ruler who had done nothing for three years, his eyes filled with endless sorrow. He saw that the formidable foe who had heavily injured him had come from the God-King's side, so he had no defense and was gravely injured by Muria.

"Prepare to meet your end, Executioner!" Muria raised his Apocalypse Staff high. Golden thunder and dragon flames intertwined, creating a vast inferno of thunder and fire, isolating him and the legendary locust from the surrounding locusts.

"So the God-King has already surrendered," the Executioner, unaware of the truth, concluded based on what he saw. "But why did he still send so many of our people to the battlefield? These sacrifices were unnecessary."

"Haha, it seems you, Executioner, also want to surrender," Muria chuckled, letting go of the Spear of Dawn and Apocalypse Staff, drawing out the Trident of Hell, and approaching the legendary locust who was burning its life to regenerate its body.

"If there was hope for victory, I would naturally fight to the end. But with no chance of winning, continuing to fight will only lead to the extinction of our civilization. I want my race to survive, and surrender is the only choice."

"So, Executioner, are you planning to surrender to me?"

"No, your killing intent is overflowing. Even if I surrender, you wouldn't accept it."

"Haha!" Muria laughed. The old locust did possess legendary strength, but compared to high-ranking legends from Erathia, it was subpar and had no potential for further advancement.

Even if it were willing to let Muria leave a mark on its soul, Muria wouldn't accept. Who knew how it would react when it learned the truth that Muria had orchestrated the downfall of its civilization? It might risk soul annihilation to seek revenge, so it was best to eliminate it from the start.

"Let's see how long you can last against me, Executioner!" With that, Muria, surrounded by thunder and flames, swung the Trident of Hell at the legendary locust...

"Your Highness, there's movement at the front. It seems the locusts are having internal conflicts, and we've detected golden thunderbolts," Lynn reported.

"Muria has appeared?" The Dragon Princess, who was discussing the next steps of the war with her legion commanders, felt a surge of unease. Muria, who had disappeared for three years, suddenly appeared, surely for an important reason.

"Let's go see!"

Hundreds of dragons roared in unison, then, led by the Dragon Princess, flew towards the locust camp where the commotion was happening.

"That's Muria's power." Seeing the massive sphere woven from thunder and fire suspended in the sky, Princess Felicia confirmed decisively. This power, once seen, was unforgettable.

"Muria is entangled with that legendary locust called the Executioner," the Dragon Princess deduced from the roaring sounds coming from the inferno of thunder and fire.

"Your Highness, look!" Lynn's eyes were fixed on another location, where a legendary locust wielding a scepter and wearing a crown was fighting off four legendary locusts attacking it.

"The Supreme Scepter and the Three-Star Crown!" The Dragon Princess's eyes sparkled as she looked at the enormous thunder and fire sphere, then showed a thoughtful expression. "That brute Muria must have seen the locust ruler appear and rushed out to attempt a direct decapitation strike."

"But what's going on here?" The Dragon Princess was puzzled as she watched the locust God-King being besieged. "An internal conflict?"

There were too many questions. For instance, this legendary locust with terrifying psychic power had been using primitive psychic blasts without casting a proper psychic spell, which was laughably crude and uncharacteristic of the strongest figure of a civilization.

"Capture him!" Regardless of the doubts, securing the duel's victory token was paramount. Thus, with a command from the imperial noblewoman, fifteen streaks of light charged fiercely at the locust God-King disguised as Indra.

"Stop!" Just as the dozen legendaries under the Dragon Princess were about to reach Indra, a golden streak crossed the sky, blocking all the legendaries.

"Muria!" Princess Felicia looked at the disintegrating thunder and fire inferno, where a not-so-tall Titan stepped out, golden thunder and fire coiling around him. He held a trident in one hand and the triangular head of a locust in the other, exuding a fierce killing aura.

"I know you're strong, but do you think you can stop all my legendaries? You don't have that power yet!"

"No!" Muria's rugged, handsome face broke into a bright smile. "I'm just here to remind you that this duel is over. You've already lost. You can leave with your army now."
