"Here's your favourite caffè latte, Master." Belfast said as she gracefully placed the heated mug on the table in front of him. Then she returns to her position, which was right behind him as she begins massaging his rather stiff shoulders like it was the most natural thing thing for her. He nodded appreciatively before taking a small sip and let out a blissful sigh.
"You always knew just what I need, my dear. I'm feeling spoiled." He spoke blamefully, but the smile on his face makes it rather doubtful whether he truly blame her for spoiling him. Belfast had always been rather sweet to him, but after that bonding moment, she grew to be more bold. Even now, she decides to makes herself comfortable around him in the Occult Research Club room.
"I am your maid after all, it is my duty to understand my Master's heart to the fullest." She stated warmly, a perpetual smile carved on her beautiful face. At this point, they'd be stupid to not notice the difference. Rias looks at Kousuke with suspicion and perplexity, as if she didn't know whether to accuse him of cheating on Akeno, or to shake her head that another one is added to his harem. The Gremory Princess knew about his AI 'waifu', Akeno had told her about it.
However, seeing it in person rather than hearing it second-handedly feels completely different. For a moment, the red haired devil thought she saw a familiar figure reflected on Belfast. A maid that is very faithful to her duty, always by her Master side—her eyes suddenly widened in realization. She then examined the maid from head to toe, everything about this maid invokes the feeling of déjà vu.
"Wait a minute, isn't this copyright infringement?" She muttered outloud, her enlightened face were rather a rare sight. "You cheeky bastard... you can't chase after her since she's married to my brother so you decided to just make another version of her?! I can't believe this!"
"Hm? What got you so rile up all of sudden?" Kousuke asked, her sudden outburst pulled him out of his comfort zone. "Are you on your period or something?"
"Devils have no concept of periods!"
"Oh, is that so? No wonder, everything made senses now." He looks rather enlightened by her words, as if the mystery that had been puzzling him for a while had been solved. "I was just wondering how you can go on for so long without taking Issei by force, it's because you never feels the need to."
"Mou, you can't say that, Master." Belfast said with a wry smile. "Woman's heart is a very delicate thing, you should be indirect or else..."
"Excuse you?!"
Rias looks completely offended by his words. immediately forgetting what she was about to say to him. Kousuke looks rather amused by her reaction, yet he turned away and met Valerie's eyes. She had also joined the same club as him(not that he ever officially joined), of course it was to reconnect herself with Gasper, which the Crimson Devil fully utilize.
"You're ignoring me?!"
"Calm down, Rias. He was just joking." Issei calmly reassured her girlfriend with a helpless smile.
"How's the practice going?" He asked casually. The dhampir immediately realized his question weren't direct to her, but her friend, Miko. The latter situation is still a well kept secret between them, Kousuke insisted that it remained that way for the sake of Miko's safety. At the very least, no one knew yet that she is now part of the supernatural. Her Sacred Gear makes her a rather fearsome opponent to the mages, mostly due to the fact that she could disable their magic before it was casted. Eyes powers were pretty overpowered when it awakened as Sacred Gear, Kousuke noticed the patterns amidst his research.
"It's going well," Valerie said, recalling Miko can now will her Sacred Gear on and off on command. Of course thanks to Kousuke's temporary fix, she wouldn't have to worry seeing things she shouldn't. However, there's always that worry at the back of her mind that it might just stopped working one day, so Miko practiced almost everyday like her life were on the line. Her effort weren't in vain at all.
"Right! I remembered now! I will say it before I forget again, but you!" Rias shouted suddenly, her finger pointed accusingly at him. "You made your maid in the image of Grayfia right?! White hair, very dedicated to the maid duty, everything screams copyright infringement!"
"Grayfia? Oh, Sirzechs's wife... well, I can't deny there was big resemblance," Kousuke mumbles with a nod. Then he shook his head, pulling his phone out of his pocket before showing Rias the real reference of his maid. Not the Azur Lane game version, but the actual battleship HMS Belfast. Real gacha players would've connected the dots almost immediately from just the name and the maid profession. Unfortunately, it was a faker standing before him.
"Liar! She has no actual references to the ship except the maid part!"
"Yare, yare," he muttered with a sigh, before turning to Belfast with a smile. "do you mind showing her the partial transformation? Just the turret will do."
"As you wish, Master." She said with a graceful bow. Then with a flash, an actual turret yet much smaller scale appeared right behind the maid. It moved and aim directly at the open window before a deafening boom shook the entire building. Fortunately the small scaled shell crashed into something invisible just before it could cause any damage to the outside world.
"A little warning would be nice next time!" Rias said while holding onto her ears for her dear life. But when she looks around, she saw her peerage and even Valerie looks at her rather strangely. The noise doesn't seems to affect them at all, which was astonishing to her. It was then, she heard snickers coming from Akeno's man.
"Pffft, that's hilarious. Ahahaha~ Why would you suddenly crouch down while covering your ears? Are you afraid of mosquito or something?" Kousuke said with a chuckle. The smirk on his face would makes anyone irritated just by looking at him, especially more effective when making fun of someone.
"What's wrong, Rias? Did he do something?" Issei asked, confusion written on his face. At this point, the Occult President finally realized she had been possibly bamboozled by the ex Hero. She also noticed Valerie looking rather ashamed as if she had done something bad.
"You! Did you used Sephiroth Graal just to pull a fast one on me?! Unbelievable!"
"Actually, I only temporarily locked others out of the demonstration so they didn't hear the loud booming like you did, nor did they felt any strange tremor in the building. I mean, didn't you ask for proof? There you have it." Kousuke answered with a shrug, as if she was the one making him do it.
