Lucian was the horrible Ghost, the same one his sister loved dearly, which should said something about the character of Ghost if someone knew his sister's taste.
'Strike A Heart' looked like the series that used fantasy and whatever makeshift of medieval or industrial era in a fake European setting.
It was mainly focused for the ladies, with four routes to choose over a cast of handsome, abnormally, very handsome men.
And the first main love interest is Cain, the typical royal golden retriever, hotty, the son of the king, and a total douche to the rest unless they are his friends or love. His sister liked the douche part, didnt enjoy the loving puppy parts though, which was 90% of his route.
He was currently pouting, his face already forming angry wrinkles. He was standing in front of the group, holding what seemed like a wooden sword.
Rey was the typical best friend, the chill and lazy smiled one. The one who will meet the player after accidentally waking him up, will either be a total possesive or a total cuddly lazy fox. But that's for each love interest in this game, they all had weird routes, his sister should know. Anyways, basically Rey is the hunk and lazy best friend type.
Currently, he was behind Cain, looking like he has pissed his pants with the foolish but confused smile on his chubby face.
Now, who could forget the ultimate two faced love interest, Estelen. The sweet cheeks who would and will bite and infect the person with rabies. Avoid this man. He was his sister's second favorite, until he had a 'unjust' change of heart later in the series.
Who was currently clinging on both of the boy's shirts, peeking at him with fear. Fear, to put it lightky, like he was slowly scalping his hair piece by piece type of fear. Which was no fear actually.
And last but no least, Arien, who was looking like he was done with his holy life, a smile looking like he was in constant daydream state. The future Holy Priest who's gentle but with a slight mean streak on his heart.
In the series, all four of them, adult version, are tasked to kill Ghost, who will and have done horrible but cliche things, like poke orphans and steal from married mothers. And the main character is somewhere in there, they are not really important, nor even showed in the cutscenes or even voiced.
But it seemed like the plot was a bit behind in this moment. By a bit, he meant a lot. For Lucian was currently kneeled down, a spliting headache from remembering that brainrot, now facing the four future love interest, three of them currently babies while the other was of unknown but adult age.
And why was Lucian kneeling?
Well…
When he entered the room once again, the kids immediately latched a rope around his already weak legs. He didn't even bother to do anything as he accepted that he was going to be tied, burned and left for death.
He fell back on the floor, his back making an unnatural thumping noise against the marble floor. Laying there like he was being placed in a coffin, he was then dragged by the feet by the three boys.
And Arien, who stood there, watching everything that just happened, at least looked a bit pale. Even if he did nothing to help him.
He understands, he gets it. Lucian wouldn't help Arien if he was in the same situation. Wait, no, Lucian would help Arien- No, Lucian wouldn't help Lucian if he was in the same situation.
…
That didn't make sense.
Urgh… Whatever. Everything just hurts, give him some slack.
"We got the demon!" One of the boys yelled. Lucian just slowly shut his eyes in acceptance, hoping at least it can help decrease the absolute volume of the kids's voices.
"Prince Cain! Please do not harm my new helper…our new companion." Arien's voice was like an Angel, as Lucian decided to pick and choose what to hear in that sentence. For his sanity.
"Young Rey, stop egging him on, and Young Estelen…You do you."
So much names circling on Lucian's mind. He was never the one who remembers names, he was more of numbers or images or actually everything else, like he even forget his own sister's name.
His sister, uh, starts with an A or something.
A…
April...?
…
Gosh, He's such a horrible human being. No wonder he's possessing the actual most horrible man ever ™️.
Lucian decided that he already played dead enough, and pushed himself up. He tried to ignore how his arms was second of actually snapping, maybe they did, as he only had strength to sit up on the floor. No way he can stand up.
He sat on his legs to not have them uncomfortably stretched out. He really didn't want to look at his legs. Even if they began to numb from this sitting position, at least he wouldn't feel the pain if they're numb.
"…"
He didn't know what to say really. What is there to say to children? Especially after they literally caused many crimes in from of a priest. He's the youngest of his family, he was literally raised to be a servant to his sister with no other social life, that's a lie, not really, maybe, but he absolutely didn't want to be a servant to three children.
So, he continued to sit there, as the kids and adult talked like he wasn't just risen from death, well sitting, on their floor.
"But, Priest! He's a demon!" Cain whined, rudely pointing at Lucian. Lucian only stared at the floor.
"Yeah! Yeah! Demon!" Rey repeated, still not grown enough to have any own thought process in that empty head of his.
Arien smiled, like he had swallowed lemon juice. "Please, he is no demon nor does he have any demon powers… He just has a rare condition and an even rarer set of powers. Do not judge-"
"Yeah, like fazing through walls like a total creep!"
"Yeah! Creep!"
"…"
Can he leave now? He gets it, he's the Bain of Evilness™️, but at least say that when he wasn't here. His heart might not be pumping but he still feels, somewhere in this empty shell of a body. Or maybe it was the pain from earlier.
Urgh his head hurts. And his heart, if he has one.
"Mr. Ghost, if you may please follow me outside…" Arien stopped, still not properly looking him but somehow still maneging to see how he became permanently stuck on the floor.
"…Actually, Prince Cain, let your companions outside to train for a while."
At the word 'train' the two foolish boys jumped in that chance and ran out of the room. Estelen was still awkwardly standing there, as if he was a lamp. Lucian was sure the kid didn't even blink once when he entered the room, the first time he entered.
"…Young Estelen, don't let them get into trouble again."
And with that, the two adults were left in the room. Arien didn't let his smile drop as he stared blankly at the door, while Lucian was still in his knees, wishing that the floor with break and suck him in the core of the earth.
"…I believe that I must give you more explanation of this… job." Arien said, taking a seat at the floor as well. Ever so gracefully, now they were both just two adults sitting on the cold floor.
How nice. Peacefully maybe.
Arien looked like he was almost struggling to say more, clenching his fists on his lap but he softly sighed, "First of all, don't call them children. Even if they are, they do not like it, they will bite and cause you bodily harm."
Ah.
Okay.
Understood.
