"So if you two want to flee. It's now and the hunters can take care of this all for me. Until then. You get the fuck off my property." The man grabbed his cane as he laughed, his vague threats were egging them to attack him. These few guards he had left were all he had to defend all of their families. They could make it to daybreak.
"We will not take your warning." James was fuming with anger as he twirled his spear and held it high in a pike position. Ready to pounce as the man stepped behind his men. His pure white suit was not ready to dawn the stains of blood. James held his position as Angel was the first to strike. Flying over him as she slashed at the front line of the four guards with her spear.
Her wings beat with a fury to keep her airborne. Hovering out of reach of all of them. They defended themselves with their arms as an aura glimmered across their bodies. Angel floated backwards as they all drew short blades. "So they don't have an aura." The man smiled as he held his cane high.
James rushed forward underneath his sister as he began a fervent rush with his spear. Jabs and slashes were plentiful as he made them all focus on only defending his abilities. "Even without aura they are physically dominant." The man chuckled as the four men slowly walked forward. Beginning to push James back. Their slashes increasing with power and accuracy as James relied on speed with his spear.
"Oh the hunters will have an easy time with." He stopped speaking as a spear was straight through his chest. Sticking through his body as a solid metal beam. Angel hovered above weaponless as they all watched him hold himself up with his cane. "Too bad my power is vastly superior to your physical talents." He stood up as both James and Angel worried in fear. "I am bound to my cane. I have been immune to death for as long as I have this." His men fell back into a defensive formation around him.
"Catch." James tossed his spear upward as Angel grabbed it. James cracked his knuckles as he looked into his side bag. Grabbing tiny vials of colored rocks as he grabbed a set of gloves. Inserting two ice blue ones on his left and two red hot ones on his right. They fired to life as he had two small daggers on the tops of his hand.
"Your technology reminds me a lot of a former hunter I used to employ. He was always tech savvy and made gadgets that were beyond most people's usage." He coughed up blood onto his sleeve as he became angered. "Too bad he tucked tail and ran for a life of safety." James rushed in with Angel directly behind him.
The two center guards swung down in unison at James as he got on all fours. Angel parried their attack and pressed the button on the spear knocking the one to the side and forcing the other off balance as James stabbed the ice blade into his side. The two other guards stood in front of the white suited man as they were ready for physical combat.
James clenched his right hand as he fired the right blade at the two of them. Opening his hand as the dagger exploded in front of them with a fireball that consumed them. The fourth guard stood up as Angel parried his rabid swings with finesse and slashed open his throat. The man stood alone as he swung his cane at James who avoided it. Punching the spear the rest of the way through his body. It clanged across the ground as the man stood unimpeded with his new movement.
He swung his cane down from above as James used both arms to block it. Bruising his arms as he felt faint cracks run across his forearms. Angel swooped around as she grabbed the second spear and floated it over the man. James volleyed it down into the man. Ripping through his right side as Angel struck hers through the left. The man stood motionless as James wrenched the cane away from the man as both objects slowly turned to dust. James shook both his forearms as they felt very tight.
"What do we do about the family inside?" Angel asked as James busted down the door. "I think we have the same thought."
"Same thing we did to the shack." James grinned as he sprinted to the kitchen. Blowing out each pilot light and setting the burners to the max. Angel found a second kitchen and mimicked her brother. They were ready to send this mansion to the sun. Once completed. They sharply shut the door and heard something in the sky. Their eyes beaded upward as it was one lone helicopter.
"RUN!" Both had shrivels of fear run through their body as neither were ready to face off against true threats. Both of them started sprinting to the north as machine gun fire rang all around them. The amount of rounds clattering with the dirt below their feet made them anxious as they made it to the treeline in one piece. James was merely grazed by a single bullet across his cheek. The helicopter hovered above the mansion as it took in the scene around them. Bodies everywhere. Embers fill the air as they have witnessed the worst of it all.
James grabbed the last vial of the fiery rocks as he put it in his glove and fired the dagger straight through the window of the mansion. Setting it ablaze, with a shockwave from the explosion leveling the immediate area. None of the buildings were left standing as the helicopter crashed into the dirt of the empty field nearby.
"We did it. James we saved them and killed all of the humans!" Angel hugged her brother as both had warm smiles on their faces. They sat in the tree and relaxed. Digging into their side pouches and began to eat small fruit bars to regain a small amount of energy before their long journey back.
"Hello HQ, uh, the beasts took down the entire plantation." One man stood from the wreckage as he hoisted out one of his cohorts. They were dressed in all black with padding to protect them from blades and bullets alike. "Yes that seismic tremor you felt was the building exploded. No survivors as of now." He heard screeching through the other side.
"Jenkis, I will have your everything if you don't bring in the ones responsible. You are one of the best. Prove it to us all." The voice rang through as the line was terminated. Jenkis rolled his eyes as he looked at the other two still alive as he checked on the pilot. The door was pinned into his skull as he sighed.
"Well, there are four of us and two of them. Two each. Take them down and kill if necessary. HQ wants them alive but enough precious human blood has spilled already." Jenkis lifted the third man from the wreckage. They looked up at him as they all looked around.
One of them dropped a visor over his eyes. "Both of them are still sitting along the northern treeline. Shouldn't we prioritize the escapees from here?" He looked around as all he saw was some disturbed brush to the south. "Or at least report it?"
"Command isn't responding to me right now. I am asking for my emergency call. I want to say I love you to my parents. I haven't done it in a year. Its overdue." The smallest one of them hugged around his club.
"Tell them yourself when we leave here." Jenkis slowly started his walk to the treeline as he drew his dagger and meteor hammer.
"Sir if they caused this much carnage, you think we can take them?" The largest man held his chain in his hand. One end held a dagger and the other an axe head.
"We stay at range and we will be fine." Jenkis mentioned as the rest followed his lead. They charged to the northern treeline as both James and Angel just finished drinking their water.
"They survived the crash. We should run." Angel mentioned as James hopped onto the ground.
"One human dead is as good as another." James twirled his spear as he held it along his back. Angel fluttered to the ground softly as both were unprepared for the communication the four had even while not speaking.
Their aura's flared to life with different shades of green as James charged forward. Blocking the meteor hammer with his spear to blast back the dagger from the next person. The third used all of his momentum and swung his club forward at James as he hopped back. The ground below his feet split as he rolled his ankle. He popped up and stood on one foot before it became too late. Angel started swinging her spear at the one with the club and forgot about her brother for a mere moment too much.
Jenkis wrapped his meteor hammer around James' spear and held it in place. James had fear fill his eyes as he lost track of the fourth. A blade inserted into his back as it slid right between his lungs. A silent gasp filled the air before the dagger from the large man was fired right above his heart. Jenkis pulled the spear out of his hand and stabbed James in the right shoulder with his own dagger. "A beast like you should be put down."
James only growled as he felt the life leave his body. Angel turned around as she saw the life leave his body. "FIGHT WITH YOUR LIFE!" She shouted as his last sight was her being knocked over the head with the club.
A cyan aura surrounded his body as he saw it all. White claws formed from his gloves as his body moved on its own. Slashing Jekins throat open with one movement of his arm. The other three stood in shock as Jekins dropped his weapons and put his hands on his throat to stop his bleeding.
