Enough time passed for Tiffany to return to her room, where she was safe and had more time to herself.
The room only had her and Butch inside as they were both busy with their own things.
Tiffany was lost in thought as she tried her best to keep herself busy.
One of her usual habits had been to keep herself busy with some form of activity that she liked doing, and most of them usually came from the time she had lived in the circus.
If she was not juggling with something, then she was using something else like a pole, sticks or other objects.
If the activity could keep her occupied and was fun without being too dangerous to her body in the past, then she was free to do as she pleased with the available tools.
The current tool she was occupied with was a juggling prop that consisted of an hourglass or egg timer-shaped spool that was whirled and tossed on a string tied to two sticks.
It was a prop that was quite popular in the circus and juggling arts, which was suitable for both beginners and advanced users.
With each movement of the sticks as they moved up and down, the spool on the string kept rotating as it built up speed it turned faster.
Tiffany pulled the sticks apart, causing the string between them to tighten.
The spool was launched up into the air before coming back down as it continued its rotation until gravity brought it back down.
As it was coming back down, Tiffany adjusted the two sticks slightly as the string between them loosened slightly just before the spool came down to catch it.
She continued the same thing repeatedly as she started to adjust the speed at which it was launched and the angles or height that it reached each time.
Each of those small changes showed that she had already gained a decent mastery over the basics, but she had not advanced moves that were considered as the more special tricks.
Butch looked over noticing that she was quite immersed in the act and her thoughts. "What is troubling you?"
Tiffany continued to keep at it, but replied as she was doing it. "I am struggling to come up with an identity. I have never done this kind of thing before."
Butch shrugged in response as he decided to offer some advice. "Whether it is villains or heroes, the identity they are known as will be based on their quirk, characteristics or something they are more familiar with or like. Try sticking to such things and keep it simple."
Tiffany continued to play with the Diabolo while mumbling to herself. "Hmm... something simple. Something familiar. I guess I could just use something like that."
A spark of inspiration came suddenly as she came to a decision. "Diabolo... there are some other places that call it or write it as Diablo instead. How does Diablo sound?"
Butch smiled flashing his sharp teeth. "If that is what you have decided, then go with that. It will be your identity that you will be known by for a long time. You could change it later, but it would be best to keep it as it is once you have decided.
That name will be what others will know you as, and it will have a huge effect on how people will perceive and remember you. If you change it suddenly, then you can imagine that it could cause some confusion."
Each alias or identity name for anyone was what most remembered them for and connected them to each of the actions performed under that name.
If it were suddenly changed to a new alias or identity name, then most of the achievements under the previous alias would not all pass over unless everyone was informed of such a change taking place.
It was almost like a company changing its name without going through the usual procedures of announcing it to the public through the usual channels.
If they changed their name in such a manner, then all of their products and other things like websites would probably be changed to match the new image and name, so the customers would not be able to gain access to them, despite them already being put out into the world.
If it were packaged and named differently, then the customer would end up walking right past it as they searched for it in a store, since they were not made aware of such changes.
It would be the same for those who would visit the websites or other media related to the company, but they would only find a blank or shut-down page after the website address was changed.
Even if there were such changes being made and there was a notice put out, not every single person would pay attention to it or would have the means to be able to get that information.
It was the same for matters related to the underworld, as the identity of someone was just as important to each person, and it was highly related to their reputation.
Customers who had the contact methods could get in touch as usual, but that did not mean that they would know of the changes, so it could confuse them.
It was just as troublesome for anyone who was looking to get in touch with the previous alias someone was going by, as they did not know about the changes.
A light smile appeared on the face of Tiffany as she caught the spool on the string before stopping what she was doing. "I will go with Diablo. Now, where do I start?"
