Dahlia bit her inner lip as she stopped in her tracks just a few meters away from the secret chamber where her husband Zoran was currently staying. She didn't know how long she stood there unmoving as she tried to reason to herself about what she was doing, but she assumed that it was longer than she should've taken.
Her heart and mind were still in conflict. She promised Nikolai that she wouldn't go to Zoran until their session was finished so that their king could confirm that it was already safe for her to see Zoran on her own, she still couldn't help but want to go to him anyway.
It was simply a struggle to stop herself, especially once she found out that Zoran went out on a mission with Nikolai to infiltrate Castle Helion. She was worried for him, even though Lady Zaila already confirmed that Zoran had returned home safe and sound. He didn't have any major wounds, but he still used a huge amount of his inner energy, so he would need to rest before he could see anyone.
