Hanging on to Eos's body, Elgorath was no longer holding back from using the powers of the second dimension, because without it, he and Xyris would not be able to do enough damage.
They were meant to be fighting at the back lines and not directly with a brute like Eos, but what made this even worse was that from a distance, they may have had a much harder time containing him, as Eos had proven many times over that although he favoured the blade, it did not mean that his mastery over spells was shallow.
Elgorath knew that there was a possibility of Eos finding out about the second dimension, the more they fought, but he believed that if he could suppress Eos, then it was possible to wipe out a portion of his memories.
