Carlo was even more confused. He had come over this morning and only learned about last night's murder, but he knew nothing about the details.
Dean didn't explain much but just mentioned casually, "You'll know soon enough. I estimate that by this morning, someone else will come to the station to confess."
Pyle was a timid person. Under normal circumstances, even ordinary people would apply for legal assistance after being held by the police or request their lawyer to be present to ensure they wouldn't be tricked. But Pyle did neither.
Dean guessed that Pyle's lawyer could be the second murderer!
He had seen through the 'overt plot' behind the scenes.
