Callis shook her head firmly when she heard that the two teenagers were about to confront Anna on their own.
"You can't just go like this," she said sharply.
"Why not?" Armel asked, frowning.
"Because nothing is more dangerous than a pregnant woman consumed by anger and jealousy," Callis warned. "Trust me, if only the two of you go, someone might walk away with a broken face."
She had already heard the story about how Anna had slapped and beaten Sarah in front of the entire royal court. Even without witnessing it firsthand, she could easily imagine the surge of the Khasif's power flowing through Anna.
And that public pummeling? That was only the surface. If the princess had tapped fully into the strength she took from Kyren, Sarah would've been dead on the spot.
