Of course, Old Wang's mixed noodles weren't the same sort that Di Tou would make at home. Rather, they were the more 'authentic' version of mixed noodles, which contained a whole lot of proper ingredients. Other than the noodles, which were Old Gao's hand-pulled specialty, there was a special homemade sauce that Old Gao had presumably made himself, thinly sliced eggs, chicken, dark mushrooms, cucumber, ham, carrots, and more. In a restaurant in China, one might see all these ingredients nicely laid out next to one another on a large platter, with another large bowl with the noodles inside of them provided next to it, letting the customer mix things together on their own…
But who was Old Wang? Just as usual, he took over an hour preparing what looked like a simple bowl, and mixed it together before handing it to Di Tou, giving him a complete product.
