Alexandra came out since Alexander was outside for too long. She found him looking over towards Lucielle's house with a scary expression.
"Alexander, are you okay?" She hesitated
Alexander didn't answer and the intensity of the green in his eyes grew. Alexandra channeled her energy and looked in the direction her brother was starting in. Her jaw dropped.
"Twins?" their father called
Alexander turned around, the lightbulbs in Lucielle's house exploded and his twin followed into the house. Charles came out of the basement and he grumbled about the sudden implosion of his bulbs.
Delmira snuck in and went to Lucielle and rubbed its head on her. A green light enveloped the girl and healed her wounds. Callum had been watching, bit into his lip and blood trailed down his chin. Rafael wore glasses as he looked through the night and noticed Sylvia staring outside.
"What's up?" Rafael asked
She replied, "...In pain..."
"You're in pain?" Rafael wondered
Sylvia shook her head and smiled bitterly as tears ran down her cheeks.
"Well listen to me," Rafael answered trying to get clear her mind from sad thoughts
Sylvia smiled knowing his true intentions that he wouldn't admit even at gunpoint.
"I finished reading this journal. The author appears to be the twins' grandfather from the mother's side. Their mother knew something as well and sent it to him, it gives a good enough explanation of monsters, spirits, corrupted creatures, etc. so I can protect myself better now."
Sylvia nodded her head in understanding.
" He says two unknown groups are working in Silentvile. He called the less dangerous one: Team Gamma and the dangerous one: ProjectM so I'll use those names too." Rafael continued " Both groups have different objectives which clash against each other."
Rafael paced around looking at papers and photos.
"I understand why his daughter sent him a journal now." Rafael frowned
"Why?" Sylvia frowned
"She couldn't contact him nor did he contact her." Rafael answered "Silentvile is cut off from the rest of the world"
"Need help?" Sylvia smiled "Not for long."
Rafael raised one brow in a challenging manner. Sylvia made a confident look and transformed into a touchscreen phone.
"I'm really surprised. I was expecting a candle stick telephone." Rafael teased making the phone attempt to hit him
He dialed quickly.
"Who is this?"
"It's me. I don't have time, come here now." Rafael told
He saw hands appearing from nowhere and try to grab Sylvia away. Rafael maneuvered himself and jumped on the couch.
"I'm in a tight spot....hurry," Rafael yelled
A hand grabbed his ankle and Rafael fell head-first into the floor. The hands aimed for the phone and Sylvia transformed back into her original form. The hands disappeared.
"Non-aggressive monsters prevent any forced communication with the outside world huh." Rafael sighed
knocking
"Mr. Rafael?"
Rafael quickly ruffled up his hair and removed his tie. He slowly opened the door with a half-shy expression.
"Is there a problem?" the woman smiled
Rafael hesitated a little and avoided eye contact.
"Please tell me. I won't tell a soul," she told
Rafael told, "It seems I got constipation."
"Oh dear, no wonder you're in a tight spot." She laughed "There's a pharmacy. It's still open now."
"Thank you," Rafael replied with a brightened expression with a hint of relief
Rafael closed the door and a stern expression returned. Sylvia was checking the sound barrier she placed and wondered how the neighbor heard Rafael.
"Don't worry about it. Let's go to the pharmacy, she's probably watching." Rafael smiled neatening his appearance
He walked into the dead of the night towards the pharmacy he was told about. The clerk seemed surprised by his visit.
"I need medicine for constipation," Rafael said bashfully
The clerk nodded his head in understanding, "Folks don't usually come during the night. You're new so I bet you don't know."
"Sorry?" Rafael went with a shocked face
" You see, there's a curfew so I advise you quickly go home. We're an odd town so some superstitions are still around." the clerk chuckled "So we don't get business around this time."
Rafael observed the clerk and gave an awkward smile, "So shouldn't you just close."
"Some rascals still sneak around at night." the clerk laughed " We need to make money after all. Most people around here are in need of certain pills, we have the best types. So if you ever need some, I can help."
" Now that you mention it...but no," Rafael answered
The clerk stopped him, "How about you try some and we'll talk."
The clerk put another package in Rafael's plastic bag. Rafael walked away shedding his weak facial expression and frowning.
"Where would such a closed-off place have access to joy pills?" Rafael sighed
Sylvia went, "Pill that makes you happy. Are unhappy?"
"I'll explain it to you at home." Rafael answered, " We have company."
A woman walked up to Rafael and crossed her hips.
"I don't remember breaking your heart?" Rafael teased
The woman laughed, "A jokester, I see. At least you laughed before dying."
"Wha-" Rafael reacted before Sylvia pulled him back
Rafael's torso was scratched by large claws and blood poured down. He staggered backward and looked at the woman.
"You're in the way." The woman frowned "I'll get rid of you."
"WOOF!!"
They turned to Delmira who growled violently. She had taken Lucielle to her room and was attracted by the scent of Rafael.
"Get away from here." Rafael coughed
Delmira let out an unnatural growl as she started to growl and her appearance changed. The woman and Rafael were taken aback with gaping jaws.
Pink flesh was tightly wrapped around her mouth and eyes. Her drool corroded the tar of the road under as her silver claws came out preparing to attack. Suddenly a car hit her into a wall and she didn't even let out a whimper. She was so determined to strike that she didn't even flinch at the impact, showing her tenacious strength and resolve.
"DELMIRA!" Rafael exclaimed
The door opened and the woman called Hess was told to get in. Seeing the moving car, Delmira appeared to hesitate, as circles appeared behind her. Noticing the car's movement made it difficult for Delmira to aim. Sylvia turned into a bow and an arrow. Rafael pulled the string and punctured the wheel.
The circles behind made purple flames burn the car strongly. Rafael and Sylvia swallowed hard as Delmira appeared behind them. She cast a shadow over them as her long tail wagged.
"H...hey..girl." Rafael smiled
