Allen's body twisted… no, unfolded, as dark fire erupted from his spine. Black wings shot from his back in jagged, asymmetrical bursts, pulsing with void energy. His horns grew longer, blade sharper, and the air around him shivered with pressure. His silhouette became monstrous, his presence overwhelming.
Even Sachi, standing far behind Elio, stumbled back as the air thickened like tar.
Elio's grip on his sword trembled.
He tried to tell himself he could handle it.
That he was ready.
But when Allen moved?
It was like trying to fight a thunderstorm with a candle.
Allen vanished.
