"Boom!" The deafening explosion echoed throughout Jade City, with billowing smoke rising from the direction of Ammunition Depot No. 5, shooting straight into the sky. The firelight illuminated half the sky, as if doomsday had arrived.
Due to the sheer volume of the exploding ammunition, nearby houses collapsed. Within a range of hundreds of meters, the glass of buildings shattered, and even a kilometer away, the windows rattled relentlessly.
"Damn it, they're really trying to bury us here!" The shockwave from the explosion caused the ruin hiding a Tang Army combat group to collapse halfway, and a Tang Army soldier clutching an assault rifle spat out a mouthful of dirt-laden spit, cursing as he crawled up from the ground.
As they moved south, they equipped themselves with better assault rifles and prepared red dot sights for urban combat. The old AK series rifles were troublesome to fit with sights, so they had all switched to new-style rifles with Picatinny rails.
