Chapter 1 - Prologue – The Last Dawn of the Gods

The Divine Realm trembled under a solitary cry.Gold-light bled across the sky, through cloud and star alike, until even the heavens seemed to melt into molten radiance.Amid the ruin stood Tang San, his breaths ragged, the Asura Sword humming in his grip. With each heartbeat of that blade, thunder echoed in his bones.

He had struck the blow. Side by side with the God Kings of Kindness, Life, Evil—and even Destruction—he had driven down a being born of absurdity and resentment, the inverse of the Creator's design. For one fleeting moment, five God Kings were united. And then silence.

Far above the shattered plains, the great form of the Golden Dragon King convulsed. Its glorious scales of sunlight cracked, golden threads unravelling into dust that drifted helplessly across the void. The monster's ruby eyes fixed on Tang San.

"Asura… even gods decay."The voice was both whisper and quake. Then it offered one last smile—and faded.

For a moment, Tang San tasted victory. the realm seemed still. But beneath that hushed calm stirred something deeper, a tremor in the laws themselves. He looked at his hands. Fissures of light spider-webbed through his armor. His sword trembled, as if mourning.

"Is it done?" the Goddess of Goodness asked softly. Her voice, usually calm as moonlight, quivered.

Tang San nodded once. "It is… and yet it isn't."

The God of Evil turned toward the collapsing sky. "We've torn the laws themselves apart to end him. The balanc-"

A sudden surge of power cut him off. A swirl of molten gold condensed in the air where the Dragon King had perished, shrinking rapidly until it became a single crystalline sphere: a God Core pulsing with faint life.

The Goddess of Life gasped. "He's not gone!"

Tang San lunged forward, but the sphere burst into a comet of light and streaked across the realm.

"YUHUO!" Tang San called out. Huo Yuhuo the god of emotions, immediately closed his eyes and opened his eternal eye, extending his senses across the entire God Plane long enough to feel the Golden Dragon KIngs Core pierce into a single point. a Newborn Soul. Xiao Wu trying to fend off the Core but failing.

"IT'S WULI-"

Yuhuo said before he could even finish his word Tang San was moving, ripping through the fabric of the already fragile space of this realm itself. Trying to catch up to the core. Still… It was a fraction of a moment too late as the core began to enter the newborn's body. Tang San immediately tried to remove the core but was stopped by Hui Mie Who followed him.

The Godking of Destruction ragged and bleeding energy, forced himself to speak. "If it found an anchor, the child is already bound. Removing it will shatter both souls."

The words hit like thunder. Xiao Wu collapsed on the ground, Tang San's knuckles whitened around the sword hilt and his divine aura flickered uncontrollably. He could already feel the mark of the Dragon King resonating from afar, thrumming in the fragile spark that was his son's life.

Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

"Then I will seal it," he said, opening his eyes, voice steady now. "I will not let vengeance define my child."

"That's right…" with these words a green calming light appeared.

The Sheng Ming stepped forward. Her brown hair flowed like the wind of spring even here, amidst ruin. "If vengeance sleeps within, the only way to soothe it... is wrapping it in love."

She placed her hands together, and a green light poured from her palms. Gently holding Tang Wulins Little Body.

"May you grow in peace," she whispered. And, bending in closer, she pressed a kiss of light upon the newborn's forehead. The Blessing of the Goddess of Life. Looking at the small being in her hands, a gentle smile formed on her lips before giving him back to Xiao Wu.

For a moment, peace returned. Then the ground trembled again—deeper this time. Cracks spread across the Divine Realm's Sky.

Destruction looked up, hollow-eyed. "We've gone too far."

Life nodded slowly. "If we do nothing, the realm will collapse into the void."

They exchanged a glance that Tang San understood without words. Two souls, born in opposition, now united by the same resolve.

"Don't—" he began, but they were already moving.

The Goddess of Life smiled at him—sad, radiant. "Raise your son well, Tang San.

"Take Our Cores and find worthy successors" Hui Mie said smiling. looking at everyone. "and I'm sorry… for Everything" He added before returning his head to his love. "I'm Sorry…" He repeated again giving her a wry smile.

Sheng Ming looking at him. Her gaze like that of a disappointed mother.

Before her lips formed into a light gentle smile. "Ha… Hui Mie… Let's go rest". As the both unite, they merge into a column of white and violet flame, plunging into the heart of the realm.

The Realm began to regenerate for a moment but then…

Fragments of light drifted through the broken sky as the once-eternal Divine Realm came apart, layer by layer. The laws that had held it together, the fabric of divinity itself had begun to unravel.

Tang San rose slowly from the shattered plain. The air was thick with divine dust; even breathing felt like swallowing ashes. In the far distance, the Power of Creations toppled one by one, each fall echoing through the void like the toll of a funeral bell.

"Ha… So it was for Nothing" he said with an exasperated smile. As he moved with Wulin and Xiao Wu to the Sea God Palace at the center of the now remaining God Realm

The Divine Realm trembled.

For over millions of years it had floated above the mortal planes, its foundations woven from the faith and spirit of countless lives. Now those same threads frayed like silk burned from both ends. The once serene sky split open with silent lightning; fragments of law bled light into the void beyond creation. Otherwise known as a Blackhole.

Tang San stood upon the highest terrace of The Sea God Palace, the Trident in his grasp no longer a symbol of rule but a weight anchoring him to a dying world. Around him the other gods gathered—Rong Nianbing, the Former God of Emotions, Yuhuo the God of Emotions—faces etched with the same mixture of disbelief and duty.

"We cannot hold it," someone whispered. The words were almost lost to the storm of collapsing space.

The God of Evil stepped forward. "We can't stop the fall. But maybe… maybe we can send something of us away. Before all of this is gone." He Said looking a the sleeping Tang Wulin.

Goodness nodded weakly beside him. "Our domains, our faiths, our people—they'll vanish with the realm. But the mortal world still exists. The Douluo Plane endures."

"Yuhuo… Open a Portal to the Douluo Plane…"

As Yuhuo opens the Portal, Tang Wutong also appears. Her expression is exhausted after fusing with Yuhuo to a Half Step Godking. In her hand a golden and Red magnificent spear appeared. The Golden Dragon Spear. "Happy Birthday Wulin.." She said with a sad smile as she sealed it in Wulin's sixth Seal.

Xiao Wu now holding little Wulin with gentle care said with a smile and teary eyes. "Please grow up healthy… As long you remain alife… That's enough for me… I'm sorry for not being able to see you grow up. I Love You Wulin… Always"

And with these words she let go. as Wulin falls down into the portal Yuhuo created.

Tang San closed his eyes. He could feel the mortal plane beneath, Douluo, beating faintly like a heart in the dark. You will live, he promised it. Even if the heavens must fall, you will live.

He raised the Trident. Divine light surged outward, joining the efforts of the others to contain the collapse. Reality screamed, a sound that only gods could hear—the death-cry of their own creation. Their power, once infinite, poured away like water through an open wound.

Beyond the edges of the realm, Tang San glimpsed something that was not light and not shadow. A shimmer—cold, patient, utterly foreign—watching from the gulf between worlds. It did not move; it simply was, waiting for absence to make space for its arrival.

He frowned, trying to understand, but the void consumed the vision as quickly as it appeared. Whatever it was would have to wait for another age, another generation.

The last of the divine pillar cracked. Xiao Wu's hand found his. Her now smile was gentle, fearless.

"Together," she said.

"Always," he answered.

Then the Divine Realm shattered.

The gods were scattered like sparks into endless darkness, their light falling toward the mortal world they had sworn to protect. In the silence that followed, the void inhaled.

And somewhere, beyond even Tang San's awareness, that faint shimmer unfurled. a whisper of will older than the stars, slipping through the wound the gods had left behind.

Its arrival had no name yet.

But the mortals would one day call it....

Honkai.
