The car had just stopped at the edge of the desert, and before everyone had gotten out, Charles spotted something yellow moving on the distant sand dunes.
Excitement sprang up in his heart—it was his first time seeing a living creature on Earth's surface.
Charles patted Lily on the back with his hand, "Time to get to work. Have your mouse friends check if there's any danger in the sand."
"Understood!" Lily nodded excitedly and quickly jumped onto the car window, squeaking loudly.
Soon, a small group of colorful mice jumped off the car and rushed toward the nearby desert.
After quickly circling around, they hurriedly reported back to Lily.
"Mr. Charles, there's no threat inside the big sand dunes, and no other smells either, just the smell of earth."
By now, the creature in the distance had gotten even smaller and was almost out of sight.
