Chapter 15 - Peerless

Their flight towards eachother made th wind take a step back as the pressure exploded, giving only a second of room for sound to breath. Their fists flashed at one another as the simotaneously struck eachother. Jo quicked his movements squizing buttocks, dropping down to tighten his thighs even more. The buildup of blood and the fibers of his muscles pulling compressed, as the white ligt glared in front of him. POuncing, Jo flew nto the air, his heel flying down straight to the head.

Maah pulled back, his chin only getting slightly grazed as the explosive force crashed into the gorund.

These two seconds gave shock to each of the children, even Yaffa who knew what the level of power would be displayed still showed a visage of utter surprise.

'How in the world!' They all thought.

Abnormalities were quite normal to most on the island at least, Jimi knew his family was weird, and he also knew of pressure. JInu was a pround listener to the space radio in the orphanage, always listening to every game held in the Galactic Basketball Association. So to him aliens were quite common place. Jeanne was more or less unaware of such things other than killing intent and the occasional flick of mysticism he would see or hear about. Lull just accepted that it was possible, so after being shocked so far beyond that even his facial muscles began to get sore from the long held expression of never used features.

Their attacks swiftly began again as Maah rained hail of blisteringly fast punchs. Strikes so quick and strong that it began to dig deep into JO's flesh. Even with his sturdiest block Maah somehow cut through his defences like jelly. Jo calmed and restrained himself from the anslaught, manuevering at a rational pace striking down a sharp and deadly whip kick to Maah's thigh.

Maah could feel it coming without even sparing a look as he twirled his body in the air. Throwing a downward whip kick himself, faster and sharper, its deadly point slicing the air and soon to Jo's neck.

Noticing he failed, in the few miliseconds he had, Jo pulled his body down relaxing all his muscles and flowing with the momentumof his quick. THis tacticflung him to the right successfully avoinding the death he would've been given.

Jo gave a silent sigh as he built up his stregth, steaming wildly, pumping his blood viscously with each strand of oxygen he could pull into his body.

These few slight moments only lasted a single second as Maah came striding forward immediatly bursting through the air. HIs body easily snapping the boundry of sound and pulling away the molecules around him. A violent spear in the shape of a hand came flying through directly aimed at the throat. The hole burning gaze filled Jo's consciousness, shaking it off with a shot of blood to his head. As all his veins vibrated vehemently crawling all around his muscular frame.

Pushing his toes into the gorund he shot in a straight line his shoulder coming in contact with Maah. His spear missing slightly off target. A nick from the force forgotten air that drew back after sound's abscence sliced. A spray of blood came from Jo's neck, at the same time Maah felt a deep hollow pressure as Jo's fearsome shoulder cave Maah's chest in. Stopping his breathing momentarily and cracking a couple ribs.

Maah with precise and agile footwork zipped back as Jo clenched the side of his neck, it still pouring blood down the blocking hand.

Each of the kids were more silent than space as theny held their breathe in. Shock, fear, and worry built within them as they stared at the heavily brathing Jo with his hand clasped upon his blood spewing neck.

Maah in surprise of the speed of Jo, slumped up with a broken wheaze. His breath was cut short as if he tried pulling in air, yet it went nowhere. Maah then closed his eyes and in a second his chest burst out leaving a powerful shock wave. Maah looked completly fine as if he had nothing going wrong at all.

'He can't be human. No way, healing is one thing, but to move and attack at that speed and not even break a sweat let alone one proper gasp for air.'

Jo thought in a painck. In the begginning of the bout he was surely not confident, but that didn't mean he felt he was at a complete loss. Yet in a mere few seconds, only seven to eight seconds had he realized the enormous difference between them.

Jo sighed ungraciouly as he pulled his body upward taking his hand off his knees. His breath was somewhatstable now and the bleeding stopped after a few miliseconds of Jo flexing his neck muscles to hold together the seperated flesh.

Maah stood motionless, his expression cold, he simply watched as Jo regained his strength. Jo knew not what to think, but just when he was about to try, Maah leaped towards him and began another barrage of lightning fast attacks.

His flesh peeling with each slice and stab. Jo bent down swiveled his hip as he covered his face with his arms rectangularly. Looking as if he was bouncing back, Maah in quick fashion chose to lean in. Once Jo saw this, he took back his feint and dug forward with a large heavy step. His knee shooting up as it enclosed upon Maah's face, but just when they were about to make contact Maah's body bent back.

His body bending and bowing towards the ground, his left leg sliding down into the ground as his right leg compressed like a spring. His body swirled like a whirlwind as he tightly pulled his right arm back, and in a blinding flash of light emptinesss approached.

'White Void!'

A destructive force that came before the target slammed into Jo's face as he flew crashing into the rusty metal mount. His body was broken and bruised, blood contaminated by the filth. Metal shards stuck into his back, trying to push himself up, but buckling onto his ankles as a cracking snap loudly popped in the whistling air.

The tears of Jimi and JInu were piling up as Lull and Jeanne were having a hard time watching the small and brutal second that just occured. Yaffa wished to walk away, but seemingly couldn't.

"It seems our bout is coming to an end," Maah retorted proudly.

Jo pulled his bloody body off the ground lifting with his knees. His eyes dreary and cold, his breathe shot, and hands trembling. Under his eye lay a small mark as a line grew shortly. Maah gave a smurk as he stepped back contorting his spine, pushing outward like a cannon. His body fired with his fist vibrating the fickle air around it. Jo pulled up his arms creating a large smack and a booming wave rang shaking the towers of trash.

Jo's eye was dark and golden, his hand slipped from Maah's fist as he clenched it and punched in a sharp diagonal motion. Maah in swift confidence shifted his head to the side, Jo's fist looking like it would stab through air. Just as Maah began to retaliate the fist smashed into Maah's jaw. Thinking he dodged it, Maah's mind became baffled.

'What the. I figured he entered the stage. But what the hell was that... Ah shit.'

Maah's body began to stumbling as he couldn't hold his balance. The pain he felt was to much of a shock as he landed down into the cold dirt below. Plow with a small wave of dust flushing out beneath him.

Jo stood up, his body shaking horredisouly with blood trikling down like a broken faucet. He tracked the ground with crimson steps as he woddled in front of Maah. Shaking on the ground, exhaust of all strength.

"I win."

"Indeed you did."
