In the morning, Ruby Mercer lazily stretched, feeling incredibly comfortable. She picked up her phone to check the time, 9:00. Her eyes widened suddenly. How could she possibly have slept until 9 o'clock?
It was the first time in years she'd slept until 9. Even if her alarm didn't go off, she would normally wake up naturally by 7, no matter how late she stayed up.
"Christopher Moore's bed has sleep-inducing properties? Hannah, wake up~" Ruby turned her head and lifted the blanket, intending to wake up Hannah Mercer.

Ruby had intentionally cuddled her daughter to sleep with her last night to strengthen their bond, but after getting up, she found her daughter gone. She got up and rushed out the door.
In the living room, Christopher Moore was holding a soundly sleeping Hannah while shamelessly drooling. Ruby felt helpless but amused, shaking her head.
Christopher heard Ruby's door open, turned around, and his eyes were drawn to the black camisole nightdress she was wearing.
