"Oh."
Motan squinted his eyes, responding in a tone as flat as Double Leaf's figure.
"My mental state is fine too."
Spider chuckled, took out a cup from her bag, and while pouring the wine from the mostly full bottle in front of Motan, she said, "My thinking patterns, inner activities, thoughts, memories, and personality are no different from just now. The only difference is... now I'm desperately suppressing my true emotions."
"Oh."
Motan continued to respond with a single word using his earlier laconic tone.
"Have you ever been drunk?"
Spider stared into Motan's eyes, asking slowly and deliberately, "Have you ever experienced that feeling of being completely plastered, yet trying so hard to pretend you're fine just to save face?"
"You can keep talking in circles with me."
Motan tapped the cover of the storybook next to him and said calmly, "By the way, guess if I'll seriously listen."
"I'm not kidding..."
"I never thought you were joking."
