Audrey walked out of the office only to see the Hawking's Jeep driving out if the gate. She couldn't stop them.
'Is frank awake? Oh my goodness. How do I face him?' she wondered.
Immediately a call came to her cellphone and she picked it.
She smiled proudly when she saw the name of the caller, Ray.
"Hello," She Said.
"Hello beautiful, how are you?" Ray asked.
"I don't know what to answer. Have you heard what had happened to Frank?" Audrey asked.
"Yes, and I was calling to ask you that. How is he doing?" Ray asked.
"I am yet to know that. I think he has just woken up," Audrey answered.
Ray scoffed,"Okay, I know you are dying to see him and probably ask me to minimize calling and chatting. I will do all that, as long as you keep the promise."
Audrey chuckled, "Sure thing. I have to go."
Audrey Said as she hung up on Ray.
"You better keep it, or else I will screw you up, girl," he muttered.
Audrey smiled and left for Frank's ward.
Teddy was still outside Frank's ward, pacing up and down. He was contemplating on whether to enter or not.
He is Frank's best friend, and he knows how frank is when agitated.
Teddy sighed then walked to the door, he was about to knock when someone touched his shoulder. He stilled, then turned to look at the hand.
"Excuse me, I want to have a private moment with my boyfriend," Audrey said ten pushed Teddy aside.
Teddy swallowed hard and glared at her. He wanted to give Audrey the piece of his mind, but restrained. He folded his hands into a tight fist then stepped back.
"I will spare you today. You won't like it next time Audrey, I know what you are doing….forget it. Go ahead," Teddy said through gritted teeth.
Audrey stared at him, rolled her eyes, then pushed the door open without knocking.
"I said I don't want anyone here! I want to be alone!" Frank yelled without looking at the person that have entered the wardroom.
Audrey humphed, then walked to the seat near the bed and sat down.
"Don't you wish to see me?" Audrey asked in a mellowed, seductive voice.
"Are you deaf, or you are playing to be one? Don't Make me repeat myself," Frank ordered.
"Really? Babe, I just cane to keep you company, are you going....."
"Audrey, I don't want your company, leave!" He yelled.
Audrey stood up, gazed at him. She folded her hands across the chest.
"Frank, look at me and tell me you don't want my company," Audrey stated.
Frank smirked, "Who do you think you are? Get out of my sight, Audrey Hepburn!"
Audrey's eyes almost popped out of the sockets. She pouted her mouth then, "Okay, Mr. grumpy. I would rather not baby sit you" she murmured the last statement then walked out of the room.
Frank stared into the space, he couldn't imagine that he will be crippled and forced to use the wheelchair. How he wished that things could be different, that at least something else could have happened than what he was experiencing.
He cursed the day he agreed to go hiking.
Audrey walked out past Teddy hurriedly as she swayed her buttocks. Teddy almost laughed, he knew what had transpired inside. Of course, what else, Frank doesn't want to see her.
Teddy was convinced that, indeed, Frank wants to be alone.
Ten minutes later, Dr. Alik and Maya walked to the ward.
"Good evening, sir, I…."
"What's good about this evening?" Frank cut him off, As he turned to see look at them.
"Just do what brought you here," He said.
His eyes zoomed to Maya, who was standing at Dr. Alik's back.
"Okay sir, we are here to take you to the executive wardroom on the last floor of the building. Mr. and Mrs. Hawking asked us to do so when you wake up," Dr. Alik informed.
"Dr. Maya, please arrange what is needed," He instructed Maya.
That's when Maya moved away from Dr. Alik's back; thus, frank had the chance to see her clearly. Immediately he was lost in staring at her.
Maya arranged what was needed, prepared the wheelchair and his drip.
Dr. Alik helped Frank sit on the wheelchair, Maya carried what was necessary and followed them outside. Dr. Alik was the one pushing the wheelchair.
Outside, Teddy was still seated on the couch, "What are you doing here, Teddy?" Frank asked as he faced him.
"Aaah..... I am here to checking on you. How are you doing?" He asked as his voice stuttered.
Frank stared at him, "It's a long story man, come with me."
Teddy smiled at Maya and followed them.
They used the executive elevator to the last floor of the building.
Maya opened the door to the room, then Dr. Alik pushed the wheelchair with Frank inside.
The room was already cleaned and arranged as required.
Dr. Alik helped Frank lie on bed and his water drip was hanged on the stand.
The room had a kitchenette, a small wardrobe, and a dining room and some extra two couches.
Maya arranged the things that she carried from the other room on a medical table.
"In case of any form of emergency, just ring that red button," Dr. Alik instructed.
"Okay, doctor," Teddy said instead of frank.
Frank was not paying attention towards what Dr. Alik was saying, instead he was still staring at Maya.
"Okay, we will leave you alone," Dr. Alik said as he gestured at Maya so that they can exit the ward.
"Excuse me, young lady, do I know you? Or I am confusing you with someone else? " Frank asked when Maya walked to the door.
"Erm… Maybe…." She stuttered.
"You look familiar anyway," Frank cut her off.
Maya smiled, then existed the room.
She sighed, then followed doctor Alik.
'How can he ask me that? Don't he remembered me? Oh, silly girl, I was wearing a mask yesterday. How could I forget?' Maya thought as she stood in the elevator.
Remembering what had happened between her and Frank, the previous day, made her body grow goosebumps.
