Ava Kent realized that this guy just doesn't have a sense of crisis. Now that Kane Sears jumped out, he's immediately anxious.
"Don't get too close to him."
With Kane's usual antics, it wasn't hard for him to guess that Kane would deliberately tarnish his image in front of Ava.
"That depends on your performance then."
Ava gave a sly smile and ran off.
Julius Goodman returned to the store, and Kane joked, "Julius, don't ignore such a beautiful girlfriend because you're busy with work, or one day you might not even realize she's been snatched away."
"No need to worry, Kane. Ava has high standards; she's not interested in just anyone."
Seeing him walk inside so confidently, Kane ground his back teeth and snorted lightly, "Praising himself indirectly, shameless."
