Oliver Bloom's voice deepened, "Shao'ang has always been looked after by the elders, and I'm not fully aware of the situation, but I never intended to stop you from seeing the child."
"Not now, not in the future either."
"Afterwards?" Not stopping her from seeing the child after the divorce?
Elise Don grasped the key point, "You mean the custody will be with you after the divorce?"
"Wasn't that our original agreement?" Oliver Bloom countered.
Elise Don took a deep breath, "I gave birth to the child, and you promised me freedom. That was our agreement, when did we ever agree on the child being with you after the divorce?"
There was a sudden silence on the phone.
Elise Don's heart was pounding. She knew that being so caught up in semantics could seem unreasonable, but the initial agreement was indeed vague. Birthing a child and raising a child are two different things, and they were never differentiated.
