"I'm really sorry, please forgive my stupidity. I had no idea you were the one, I would never have crossed you on purpose. Please have mercy on me." The boss begged but Chris wasn't interested in his nonsense.
"Take me to the girl, she's the reason why I'm here, take me to see her." Chris said and the guy stood up in a hurry and headed for the room where he kept cassie.
Cassie was there on the floor bruised and weak. Those men caught her yesterday and brought her here. They asked that she provided their money but she didn't have any money to give them. She had spent it all.
And since she has been scared for her life, she can't work freely. So there was no way to raise the money. She has been stealing from men just to maintain her lifestyle.
She didn't have any choice but to call Jack, when they were threatening to kill her. There's no way she was going to let herself be killed for something so fickle.
"Untie her." Chris ordered as soon as the lights were turned on and he recognised her. He felt so bad that she had to go through something like that. He wondered what she must have done.
"Yes Mr Smith," the boss said and his boys immediately moved towards cassie to untie her.
"What the hell did she do?" Chris asked the boss and his eyes widened with shock. He's afraid he might get angry for the detaining the bitch for something like that.
"Well you see, she stole my money. She's a night dancer and I was just a customer looking for a way to relieve stress, and she stole my freaking money." The boss explained hoping he would understand him.
"How much?" Chris asked and the boss looked up.
"$250,000" he mentioned and Chris frowned. He can't believe she's being punished for such a small amount of money.
"Cassie!" Chris was going to say something else when he heard Jack's voice from behind him.
Jack came as soon as Anthony called him. He told him they were going to see Cassie. He already made the money transfer to the men and was on his way out.
Thankfully, this place isn't far from where he's coming from. And when he got here, he simply told them he was one of the two men that arrived here not quite long.
He was brought here and the first thing his eyes searched for was Cassie. He ran to her his eyes wet with tears. He was worried he would never get to see her again, but here she is.
He pulled her into his arms and kissed her on the mouth. Cassie looked up at him and smiled weakly. She has not had anything to eat since yesterday. She rejected all the food that was given to her and begged for her freedom instead.
"You came to save me Jack." Cassie said, struggling to keep her eyes open.
"I looked everywhere for you cassie. Why did you have to leave like that. You didn't even say a word to me." He complained and cassie chuckled.
"I didn't want to put you in trouble sweet boy." Cassie replied.
"But here we are," Jack said and kissed her again.
"We need to take her to the hospital. She seems very weak." Jack said and Chris nodded.
"You see today, I got married to the love of my life. So I'm really in no mood to cause trouble with you. That's the only reason why I'm letting you go. You have my wife to thank for this or what do you think?" Chris asked the boss and he bowed his head.
"Thank you so much for your kindness. I do not take it for granted." He cried out and Chris scoffed as he made his way out.
Jack carried Cassie to the car, and they drove off to the city hospital.
They arrived there and cassie was placed in a private ward. Jack was going to pay for it, but Chris insisted. It's the he can do for all the pain he had caused her in the past.
"You should go, Mr Christopher, I don't want to keep you here anymore. You have done enough for the night, I'm sure your wife would be upset that you left her alone." Jack said, and Chris shook his head.
"You don't have to worry about it, Jack. I'm going to stay here until she wakes up. There are so many things I would love to ask her. Remember, I've been searching for her as well." Chris said, and Jack nodded his head.
That's true, Cassie is the girl his boss has been going crazy searching for over five years now.
A few hours later, cassie woke up, and Jack rushed to her side. He refused to sleep until he spoke to her and made sure that she was fine.
"Cassie you are awake. You gave me quite a scare." Jack said and hugged her tightly.
"I'm so happy that I got to see you again. I will never let you go." Jack said.
He wanted to say more, but would wait till they are alone so he would be able to express himself.
"Mr Chris, she's awake." Jack said and shook Chris till he opened his eyes. Anthony decided to wait at the reception.
"Who is he?" Cassie asked and Chris trembled. He never thought a day like this would come when he will come face to face with the girl he defiled. He simply can't believe it.
"He's my boss," Jack introduced.
"Your boss? Are you saying this is Christopher Smith. Oh, wow! Why is he here?" Cassie a
asked confused. She noticed his countenance and could tell something was wrong.
He stated at her so emotionally that it scared her. She can't tell if it's because she has not seen light in two days, but she could see tears in his eyes.
"How are you doing? How have you been?" Chris asked. He didn't think it would be this difficult to ask her, but he can't even bring himself to ask her anything.
"I'm doing well, thanks for asking." cassie answered the most polite way she could.
"Do you remember me?" Chris asked going straight to the point.
Cassie looked up at Jack who seems to be shocked as well. She looked at him well, but wasn't sure whether or not she has seen him before.
"If you are asking whether I know you, I do know you. I mean who doesn't? You are the richest guy in the country. Your face is all over the place. But I'm sure this is the first time we have met each other." Cassie explained.
"Unless you have been to one of the strip clubs I have danced. Wait a minute! Did I steal from you too? Are you here to kill me or get your money?" Cassie panicked and Jack looked at Chris wondering if it was true.
"Uhmm no of course not." Chris shook his head.
"Here I brought this, it's your necklace from six years ago. This might help you remember me." Chris said and showed it to her.
"Six years ago?" Cassie was confused and took the bracelet. Of course she remembers this bracelet.
"You left this at my place as wel that night." Jack said and showed it to her.
"Wait a minute!" Cassie paused.
"Did you say six years ago?" Cassie asked and Chris nodded sadly thinking she remembered what happened.
"I didn't lose my bracelet six years ago. I had it with me until recently like Jack said. I left it at his place. This would have been mine if I had two, but I don't." Cassie said and Chris frowned.
"This bracelet are the same thing. It's definitely yours, think about it throughly, I've been looking for you for six years now." Chris said and Cassie shook her head.
"No Mr Smith. The one you had doesn't belong to me. They are two bracelet, but one belonged to me, and the other one belongs to my friend Jane. She was the one who made the bracelet back at the orphanage." Cassie revealed.
