Their fall from the barrier came with a loud thud.
A low grunt escaped from Gala's throat when her bottom had hit the hard rocks.
'I could not get the hang of falling from the barriers.' She grumbled inwardly.
She rose to her feet and let out a small puff of air as she dusted off her robes from the dirt. Her sweat had drenched her wardrobe—so much that you could squeeze out a half-tub of water.
'I wonder where we are this time.'
Speaking of, where is Alvaro?
She realized that she hadn't seen the young man since she had fallen from the barrier. She wandered her eyes around and searched for any signs of the faye.
"Alvaro!" She called for the young warrior.
She scanned the landscape in front of her and curiosity started to creep into her. The air was dry and the scorching heat of the sun had slightly burned her skin. The rocky texture of the ground was dry and the few plants around the area had wilted. The land looked barren, as if no life would ever thrive there.
