Lilith put the earrings back on and asked, "Captain Luke, can you tell me the story of the treasure hunt? Knowing the origins of these gold ornaments would make collecting them more meaningful."
Luke's gaze swept across the guests at the party, "It's not quite suitable here, maybe next time."
Lilith seemed unwilling to let go of the chance, or perhaps she feared Luke was just brushing her off, "We can talk somewhere else."
"I came to attend the party, it wouldn't be good to leave midway."
"We can chat next door and return anytime." Lilith stood up and made an inviting gesture.
At this point, Luke didn't believe it was a mere coincidence or chance encounter; she was probably here for him. But given her demeanor and attire, she didn't look like someone short on money. So what was her real purpose?
