A hint of anger rose on Lilith Finn's pale cheeks, "Your suspicion offends me."
"Me too." Luke said as he stood up and left the lounge.
After the door closed, Lilith Finn sighed, "What an uncouth man."
After a while, she muttered softly, "Is it that obvious?"
Luke's guess wasn't wrong. What Lilith Finn did was to win her grandfather's favor. She was younger among her peers in the family and didn't have much competitiveness compared to her elder siblings who had achieved something.
She wanted to gain her grandfather's affection in this way, hoping to get a bit more of the inheritance, even if it's just a little bit more.
Originally, she intended to meet Luke through a message from the auction house's manager, which would have been the simplest way, but Luke declined.
Later, she learned that Luke might attend the party, planning to prepare for a chance encounter, but unexpectedly, Luke saw through her, and even worse, he wasn't buying it.
