Is it not that important anymore?
Polly Sutton leaned against the door, thinking about Victor Parker's words, "But isn't the bond of blood meant to give meaning to everyone's life?"
Victor finished rinsing off, stepping out with steam clinging to him, staring at Polly Sutton at the doorway, "Ancient emperors pursued immortality driven entirely by their own desires, not familial ties. So don't expect too much from familial relationships; they don't have that qualification."
Polly Sutton raised her head to look at Victor, "And what about you? If one day our children have their own lives and abilities to survive, would you also feel that the length of life is meaningless?"
"That's impossible, after all, I have a wife." Victor touched Polly Sutton's head, "You were pretty fierce just now, keep it up."
Polly wanted to say something more, but Victor went to rest on the bed.
Polly went over and smacked him twice with a pillow but didn't have the heart to hit hard.
