"I like you, and that's enough. No one else matters," said Lucas Quinn.
"Okay, I got it." She replied helplessly.
As they chatted, Lucas thought about the two little ones she had mentioned and asked with raised eyebrows, "Sister, have you been feeling unwell lately, like nausea or anything?"
It had been about a month since they had been apart, and they had been so earnest on the ship for a few days...
Charlotte Allison immediately realized what he meant and said, "My period came on time this month."
Which means there was no chance of pregnancy.
"Guess I wasn't trying hard enough," Lucas Quinn said without any disappointment, looking at her with a burning gaze.
Charlotte chuckled silently.
Not trying hard enough? They had already been quite crazy before; even more craziness wasn't something to fear.
