Henry could hear familiar screaming from the phone as well as the gasps from the two watching the clip from his earlier stunt. Maud also got curious that she joined them.
'Seems like someone recorded it, no wonder I have been getting strange looks when I went with Pinkie to get my bike.' Mused Henry.
"Wow! You really are strong." Said Limestone in clear shock at what she had just witnessed.
"Very durable too. As strong as the molecular structure of a carbon lattice crystal." Maud said as she walked back to him and inspected his hands though she was very worried about what he did.
Finding it a mystery that such normal skin and hands had the strength to withstand such a force.
"Haha! Cute, but am nowhere as strong as diamonds" Henry said,
'Well not yet anyway.' He left that part unsaid.
"Well let's get going, we will be using my bike." He took her hand and walked out the door and waved the rest of the Pie sisters goodbye who returned the gesture as well as Pinkie who was floating in the air with three balloons, and he remembers seeing her rip them off from her wristbands.
'Cute randomness that never ends.'
Stepping outside he saw that it had gotten darker, but the reddish-orange glow could be seen behind the mountains.
"So, where do you assume we should begin," Henry asked her when they got close to his bike. He then pulled out his helmet and placed it on her head.
"Diner." She said simply.
Growl!
A cute grumble came from Maud's belly, "I see, let's go then. I remember seeing one nearby the mall. Shall we take that one?" Henry asked.
"Mmm, that is the one." She replied with a nod.
"Excellent." He got on before turning to her and indicating with his head for her to get on. She did as she wrapped her arms around his waist and pressed her chest against his back.
Maud was once more in that happy place she was in this morning that made her long for her work to finish earlier so she would meet him again.
And that wait paid off at last now that she could feel him again, his presence to her was akin to light and warmth in a dark and damp cavern.
"Hold on tight." Was all he said as he started the engine.
"Mmm." She increased her grip as her hands began to feel his rock-hard abs. A cute blush formed on her face but was covered by the helmet.
Henry drove the bike, but this time he used a regular path instead of the Pinkie path.
Henry took a moment to realize that Canterlot was actually just a simple place that had a mixture of urban and rural residences. It had tall skyscrapers, yet also vast green fields, there were wide suburbs but a mountainous landscape, and lastly happy townsfolk.
It was a quaint city, that had a few occasional crimes here and there but it was relatively peaceful, and for him, it was a perfect home for him to return to after each mission.
Who knew what kinds of hellish places he would go to, how many lives he would take, perhaps by the millions or more if he is given a task to exterminate an entire race on the said planet?
And he will, perhaps some planets might even ask him to wipe out its inhabitants, going to war against an entire civilization.
Was he going to do it?
Hell yes!
This was also for his survival, he needs world essences to grow and become strong and survive. As the longer he stays as he is, more and more higher-level beings and forces might know of him and will try to kill him in order to have the potential to break their limits and go beyond.
He is like a powerful elixir that even eldritch beings would lust to have once they knew about him.
He could hide and he was so sure that once he chose to hide no one can even dream of finding him in the entire omniverse, no matter the level of power, not even his own kind!
But what kind of individual was he, his form was a lion, not a tortoise or other cowardly animal!
So he will fight and grow strong even if it means devouring galaxies, when the time came this entire omniverse will be his own backyard!
"Ah! We are here." Henry broke his thoughts as he parked by the diner, he let Maud get off then he followed. She gave him the helmet, which he placed back in the compartment.
"Shall we dine my lady?" Henry smiled charmingly as he gave Maud his elbow, to which she gave a faint warm smile she took it.
The diner was at the side of the mall; its design was very interesting, to say the least, on the roof of the diner was a large vintage car that had its front built into the wall of the mall.
"Maud, this diner has the most interesting architecture I have ever seen. Any history behind its design?" He asked as they walked towards it, it seemed like it was busy too, and the neon lights from the outside walls shone even brighter as it was night.
"Yes, the original founder of the diner was a racer and his career ended when he crashed into that very same spot as the model car. He chose to open the diner after recovery and used that accident as the decoration for the diner. Now his grandson owns the place." Maud answered monotonously.
The story made him chuckle slightly,
"Genius!" He praised the mind of that old timer as he pushed the door open and let Maud step in before him.
Chivalry doesn't have to be dead of course.
The interior made one feel as if they had traveled back in time to the 70s with completely checkered floors, a jukebox at the corner playing music and some records hung on the walls.
"I like it." Henry said simply with a smile, "But it seems like it is packed tonight, oh wait there is an open booth there." Henry then took her hand and guided her towards it. As they sat down, the waitress came.
She wore a carhop uniform that consisted of a light blue dress and a white apron with black frills at the edges and was moving on roller skates, she had two-tone purple hair and light green eyes while she carried a few pamphlets in her hands, a beautiful woman too.
"Evening you two welcome to the Sweet Snacks Cafe, am Coco and I'll be your waitress for the evening." Said as she gave two menus to the both of them, "I'll give you two a moment to decide."
With a smile she was off, he then focused on his menu for a moment before turning towards Maud.
He looked at this girl, who was quietly reading her menu.
From her hair, face, hands, and scents. She was just lovely without enough words to describe her as she had this simple and plain beauty about her that was amazing if one took a moment to really appreciate her.
Henry will be honest with himself, if he was normal even if he had been reincarnated he would have been content with just her in his life.
But he was not normal, but there is no doubt that he would still have pursued his current path. It all depends on perspective, and his perspective of things was often on a universal scale since his awakening.
He can't run most of his daily life like how an average man does, though it won't stop him from enjoying them too. Like this beauty in front of him, her beautiful eyes, succulent lips, and soft-looking cute nose.
"Beautiful." He said, making her look up only to see a pair of blazing eyes pour affection and admiration deep into her very being and made her shudder at the almost physical form of emotion she was feeling from him.
A blush couldn't stop itself from her blank face as she looked down and whispered the only word that she could manage to say, "Thank you."
Henry chuckled a little at how adorable she looked there for a moment before picking up his menu, still not sure what to pick.
'Am going to be around this joint in the future so I don't need to bother much.' With that thought he decided what he wanted. And soon enough Coco came to them, this time with a notepad in hand.
"Has the couple decided what they want?" She asked though Henry could pick up a little jealousy.
"Yes, Rocky Rumble sandwich with a chocolate smoothie, thanks," Maud answered as she looked at Henry, Coco finished writing the order before she too turned to Henry.
"And you charming sir?" She asked.
"I am new here so I have no idea what to order, so I'll have the chef's special with a blueberry smoothie," Henry said and looked at her with a smile.
She wrote it down as well, "Excellent! And welcome to Canterlot city, you will love it here. Just a personal note; we don't experience falling posters." She ended with a wink and left to get their orders.
Chuckling Henry shook his head as he looked at the purple-haired beauty who also stared back at him unblinkingly, sending her a smile he asked.
"Where do we go next after this?"
She tilted her head a little as her beautiful eyes turned side to side in her head in thought and contemplation.
She then answered after moments of thinking.
"I don't know."
