Looking out at all of the faces in the small gathered crowd of officers and agents from various divisions and agencies that in some ways worked together yet independently toward the same primary objective of keeping the populace safe, Zeph could see very few faces with expressions that indicated that they believed that this was about anything more than a power grab by The Black Badge Division.
In fact, most of those faces were glaring at him as if he had just said that they were all working double shifts over the weekend and that the coffee pot was busted. However, Zeph was not there to ask for their opinions or entertain any ideas they had about his opening statement. He matched their gazes with one of his own.
