"If I'm not mistaken, this white yam is likely the allergen. Many people are allergic to it, but it's the first time I've seen such a severe reaction in an elder."
Nancy Sutton quietly noted down the white yam and decided it should never appear in the house again.
After chatting with the doctor for a while, she returned to the ward and saw that her grandmother was now resting. Not wanting to leave, she silently stayed to keep her company.
But it was indeed late by now, especially after such a hectic ordeal, and she slowly drifted off to sleep.
And so, when Liam Quincy returned, he saw Nancy Sutton asleep by the bedside. He felt a pang of tenderness and draped his coat over her.
He sat on a chair nearby, gazing at Nancy Sutton for a long time before turning away and heading home.
When Nancy Sutton woke up, it was already the next day. She realized she had spent the night there, but the coat covering her was a sign of Liam Quincy's thoughtfulness.
