"A second demonic conversion event" the both said loudly before Kiyoshi continue by adding. " I thought I was the only thing that can cause a second conversion" with a shocked looked on his face. The abbot with a smile on faces responses by saying " that just a lie but the them and the peacemarkers spread to reduce panic and unease among the people. As if there only a single focus for their hatred then the people will but there unweaving faith in them and wont question their ability to protect them unlike if they knew it had multiple." The abbot continued by adding that several artifacts left behind by the old war that can cause a second event. Some contain evil spirits and demons and some just have strong demonic aura. But the unlike Kiyoshi and the his sword the artifacts alone can't bring upon second event. they must be combine with an old ritual site the cultist used to open the portals to hell in order to recreate a second event." Lastly the abbot with a serious and soulless look on face added that if Kiyoshi so chooses that he can create a second event without need for a ritual site or any help, he just has to want to create a second event and his bond with the sword will make it so. As he finished explaining he pulls on out something for with in his robes. It was an amulet.
the amulet was made of bronze material and had a samurai fully armored riding a black horse. "What is that?" Suki asked in curiosity. "It was of the artifacts I was speaking about, though i do not know what it called. I know it's one of them." replied the Abbot. Kiyoshi jumped into the conversation by asking " Why does the abbot have such an evil artifact in his possession" Suki upset the at the Kiyoshi for demanding an answer for the abbot shouts at him for being rude and mannerless but the abbot ushers her to be quiet.
"We found it almost two months ago. Some farmers in the nearby village was digging up the soils when they found it. They immediately contact the temple and that is how it ended up at the northern light temple." the abbot remarked before continuing. "But to actually answer your question. Two weeks ago I began feeling an ominous presents within the temple upon my investigation I found that amulet began producing evil aura from within. Thus i decided to kept it with me and try to suppress the energy as not to affect everyone else in temple and nearby towns and villages."
Before Kiyoshi could respond , Kivuli telepathically told Kiyoshi that if that is the case the abbot will be haunted and have trouble sleeping due to the evil aura of the amulet trying to invade his mind and send him crazy. Kiyoshi watched the abbot closely in his abbot's eyes Kiyoshi could see a man that was trouble and was haunted by something far greater than himself. but his still saw a man with the resolve to fight against even if he knew it was a losing battle. Kiyoshi sighed heavily and Suki shouted at the abbot with a worried full tone. "If that was the case master why not give to me, why burden yourself with it, if I am the shrine maiden." Suki remarked crying as she understood the torment the abbot must be facing. "It because you are not ready Suki". Barked the abbot with a serious tone of voice. " You have only received your powers three months ago and barely have control or knowledge in how to use them." he continued leaving the room in a dead silence. Until Kiyoshi broke the silence and asked "So why do you believe this amulet will bring a second event."
The abbot took a deep breathe and replied because Kiyoshi I have seen it in version or should nightmares when I try to sleep. The remains of the cultist still live on today and want this amulet. And i fear that since it became activity that can find it." the abbot replied." He continued by saying " Thus he wants Kiyoshi and Suki to take the amulet and carry it to lake Lumi at the Southern light temple and purify it , thus making it useless for cultist."
Confused but Kiyoshi and Suki if the cultist want the amulet, won't it be better to keep it safe here an wait for them to come and wipe them out. The abbot looked at both of them and with an unsettling look he remarked that he thought of the but saw version of the cultist burning the temple to ground with monks dead all over and worse of all he saw a version with cultist killing Suki while celebrating the fall over mankind.
He then turned to Kiyoshi and continued. "Young samurai Suki may be powerful but she is unexperienced and has never been in a battle before, please help her on her mission and beg you." whilst bowing his head in respect to Kiyoshi.
Then he turn to Suki." My beloved child both me and Margert loved you like our own daughter. I believe in you but i can't lose you, please work with Kiyoshi to bring this to an end and be safe." the abbot remarked while gently placing the amulet into her hands. Suki nodded and place amulet around her neck.
The three existed the room and went to prepare for the mission ahead. Two hours later the three them where outside the temple surrounded by thirty monks armed with spears and swords." Both Suki and Kiyoshi as well as the thirty monks where on white horses ready to head out. "Kiyoshi, Suki, Everyone please be safe the evil you will face will be great." Declare the abbot as both Kiyoshi and Suki nodded before riding off into the forest to the Southern light temple.
As the mission party rode off the abbot looked into the sky and asked the goddess fertilia to protect everyone. while walking back into the temple he smiled and remarked to himself that Kiyoshi truly looked like woman form his past.
