Marilyn Quinn wasn't one to linger in bed, and she quickly sat at the dining table.
Breakfast consisted of hot milk and the bacon toast that Rebecca Quentin had bought earlier in the morning.
Marilyn Quinn was enjoying the toast but hadn't taken a sip of the milk.
Rebecca Quentin couldn't help but speak gently, "Marie, why aren't you drinking any milk?"
"Auntie, I don't like milk!"
"But milk is nutritious!"
Marilyn Quinn looked very conflicted, staring at the milk but finding it hard to swallow.
Christine Quinn had always been strict with her daughter, she frowned, displeased, "Marie, mommy told you that you must drink milk every morning and before bed, are you disobeying again?"
Marilyn Quinn lowered her head and mumbled softly, "But daddy said if I don't want to drink, I don't have to!"
