Under the setting sun, an unoccupied warehouse in an area of the docks.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out, and a girl collapsed in a pool of blood.
Shortly after, Conan arrived, only to see the girl lying there.
Upon seeing Conan arrive, Aizen left, changing his identity and leaving as Caesar. He teleported to Beika Station, arriving just before Gin and Vodka arrived.
Although Akemi Miyano was innocent and had merely faked her death, the only people who knew about it were Aizen and Akemi Miyano herself. Having promised Shiho Miyano, Shinichi felt compelled to give her an explanation, even if it was just for show.
A vintage Porsche pulled up east of Beika Station, and Vodka stepped out. "Three-eight-three!"
"Wait!"
Gin called out to Vodka, who was about to leave. He glanced around, sensing a faint aura of danger. This was a skill he'd honed over the years; he trusted his instincts, even when the surroundings seemed normal.
"What's wrong, big brother?"
Vodka asked, sensing nothing.
"Get in the car, and leave!"
Gin said gravely. Though he hadn't noticed anything, he wasn't taking any chances. He already had the keys, and once he left, he could just send someone to take the money from the safe.
"Okay!"
Vodka didn't ask any further questions, immediately opening the car door and getting in.
Bang!
Suddenly, a bullet struck the front window, cracking it but not breaking it. The bullet's trajectory pointed directly towards where Gin was.
Seeing the cracked car window, Gin ducked down. Just then, the already cracked window was struck by another bullet, this time shattering it directly and heading towards Gin. Fortunately, Gin ducked down, so the bullet missed him and pierced the car instead.
It was clearly a sniper attacking them. Gin and Vodka didn't consider why, but immediately sought cover behind the cover.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Three crashes echoed from the hood of the car, causing Gin and Vodka's expressions to change. Gin jumped out the window and fled, while Vodka, hiding behind the car door, immediately ran to the side, not wanting to be exposed to the sniper's view.
Bang! Boom!
With the sound of a gunshot, the vintage Porsche exploded, bursting into flames with a roar, sending small pieces of material flying in all directions.
The area where Gin and Vodka had parked was deserted, so no one saw the initial gunshots. But after the car exploded, the roar and flames were visible even to passersby a dozen meters away, so everyone hid dozens of meters away and watched carefully.
Gin and Vodka each hid behind a parked car, neither surfacing. To this day, neither of them knows who had intercepted them.
A moment later, Vodka dove out of the back of the car, but he wasn't hit by the bullets. Seeing this, he immediately went to the front of the car and looked inside. Seeing that his keys were gone, he ran to the back and hid again.
"Brother, the sniper might have left."
Gin looked around and saw that many people had noticed the area and the police would be arriving soon. Now was not the time to investigate who had attacked them; retreat was the priority.
"Vodka, retreat!"
Gin and Vodka retreated cautiously. Aizen didn't attack them again. He had no intention of killing them. They may in the future give him some points. Otherwise, with his skills, even if Gin and Vodka were powerful, he could easily kill them both without realizing it.
Conan finally decided to call the police, and Aizen arrived at the scene with Kogoro Mouri and Ran Mouri. The mirror image's body would still be there for a few days, giving Aizen plenty of time to remove it. Otherwise, it would be disastrous if the body suddenly disappeared in public. On the morning of the third day after the incident, a woman came to Aizen's cafe for an interview.
This woman was Akemi Miyano, but now her appearance had changed. Aizen had made her wear a mask that only vaguely resembled her original appearance, though she was just as beautiful.
From now on, Akemi Miyano would remain at the cafe as an employee, still using the name Masami Hirota. Aizen had no intention of asking her to change her name. He didn't think the Black Organization would mistake her for Akemi Miyano. There were so many people named Masami Hirota, so one more wouldn't make a difference. Besides, Gin doesn't care to remember who he had killed.
"When can I see my sister?"
On their first day at work, when they were alone together, Akemi Miyano immediately asked the question that was on her mind. She was very concerned about this matter.
"Soon, in at most two weeks, you'll be able to see your sister,"
Aizen said. He couldn't be sure of the exact time, but he felt that two weeks was more than enough time.
"Then I'll leave it to you."
After hearing that it would only take half a month, Akemi Miyano didn't say anything more. She knew how powerful the organization was, so she could afford to wait half a month, even a month.
Aizen said: "This is part of the deal, I will do it."
Akemi Miyano came to the coffee shop to work. Mouri Kogoro, Mouri Ran and Conan naturally knew about it. Mouri Kogoro and Mouri Ran welcomed her, but they didn't think about the identity of Masami Hirota. Although Conan felt that this Masami Hirota was very similar to the deceased Masami Hirota, and the two had the same name, which was too coincidental, he didn't think much about it, because he saw Masami Hirota's death with his own eyes.
Masami Hirota's death hit Conan hard. He was in a bad mood and very depressed these days.
Aizen arranged for Akemi Miyano to stay in the cafe, which had two bedrooms. Although she was a little reluctant, living under the same roof, she ultimately accepted the offer. She hadn't forgotten her promise. She knew she would stay with him if he rescued her sister, so living here wasn't a big deal, nor was it difficult to accept.
