"Did you encounter a bank robbery today?"
Aizen put down his newspaper, glanced at Conan, then looked at Mouri Ran.
Ran nodded and said, "It was the bank's armored car that was robbed. They said they were stealing 1 billion yen."
Aizen asked, "Did they catch the robber?"
"They got away,"
Mouri Kogoro said, walking to his personal desk, sitting down, and turning on the TV.
Aizen said, "A 1 billion yen robbery, that's no small matter."
Mouri Kogoro said, "I was planning on having a nice meal out this afternoon, but I didn't expect this to happen. Anyway, I can have a nice drink tonight."
"Dad, you'd better drink less,"
Mouri Ran advised. She knew her father wouldn't listen, but she tried anyway.
Aizen smiled at this. It would be a miracle if Kogoro Mouri really was willing to drink less.
The next afternoon, there was a new development in the robbery case. Aizen paid no attention to the case, knowing full well what was going on. Conan, however, was very concerned and immediately left the office upon learning of the new development.
Conan, leaving the office, called Juzo Megure from a public phone booth not far from the office, using Kogoro Mouri's voice, and asked for Hirota Masami's address.
After receiving Hirota Masami's address, Conan rushed there.
Outside the apartment, Conan found the key to the apartment under a flowerpot by the door, unlocked it with the key, and walked in. The room was dim, clearly empty. After changing his shoes, Conan walked in.
"If my deduction is correct, Miss Masami is in danger. I must find a clue quickly."
Conan turned around and searched the room, soon spotting an outlet behind a table. The socket was partially exposed. If someone hadn't been constantly moving the table, it wouldn't have been like that. So, there must be something wrong with the socket.
Conan ran over, moved the table, and tried to unplug it. To his surprise, he actually pulled it out, revealing a key to a rental safe.
"Maybe the stolen 1 billion yen is in this safe,"
Conan pondered. Suddenly, realizing something was wrong, he turned to look.
A knife struck Conan's neck, and he stumbled, the key falling to the ground.
Akemi Miyano picked up the key and turned to leave.
"You can't leave, Miss Akemi. They'll kill you."
Conan struggled to sit up. Akemi Miyano didn't want to hurt him, so she didn't use much force.
"Thank you!"
Akemi Miyano smiled faintly, then lowered her head and said, "I'm sorry, Conan!"
"Wait!"
Conan called out, but Akemi Miyano continued to walk away. By the time Conan finally made it outside, she was nowhere to be seen.
Conan glanced down the hallway, leaped up, and leaned over the railing. Looking down, he saw Akemi Miyano approaching her car, about to open the door and get inside. This discovery perked Conan up, and he quickly took out his transmitter and rubber band.
Using the rubber band, Conan attached the transmitter to Akemi Miyano's car. Then, taking his skateboard, he left, intent on tracking Akemi Miyano down, saving her and catching the real culprit who was trying to frame her.
After Conan left, the door to the next room opened, revealing Aizen and Akemi Miyano.
Akemi Miyano exclaimed in surprise, "What was that Conan just shot?" From inside, using the surveillance camera, she could clearly see the footage at the door, observing Conan's every move.
Aizen said, "That's a signal transmitter. It's used for tracking."Upon hearing this, Akemi Miyano asked with some concern, "If Conan goes, will he be okay?"
"Don't worry, he'll be fine,"
Aizen said with a smile. By the time Conan got there, the matter would likely be over.
Akemi Miyano could only nod. Even if she had doubts, she couldn't help it. After a moment's hesitation, she asked, "The person pretending to be me was one of your men, right? Gin and the others would probably kill her. Is that really okay?"
"How can I boast to you without absolute certainty?"
Aizen said calmly. The fake Akemi Miyano was his mirror image. While his ability prevented him from transforming into a woman, taking on Akemi Miyano's appearance was perfectly acceptable, as long as he didn't try to acquire female organs. If he tried to transform into a real woman, his ability would cease to work.
"I'm sorry if your men die as a result of this,"
Akemi Miyano apologized. Although she had completed several missions for the organization, she hadn't killed anyone, nor had she ever considered killing anyone. Therefore, she felt deeply sorry for someone dying in her place. It had nothing to do with the deal.
Aizen looked at her and said, "You don't need to thank me. This is what I should do." As he spoke, Aizen placed his hand on Akemi Miyano's waist.
Akemi Miyano took a step to the side, looked at him, and said, "You haven't done what you promised me. You said you would let me see my sister and rescue her from the organization."
"Don't worry, it won't be long. You two sisters will be able to meet soon."
Aizen laughed and said meaningfully, "Akimi, don't forget your promise. When I rescue your sister, you must love me wholeheartedly."
"I promised you, and I won't go back on my word. Don't worry,"
Akemi Miyano said solemnly, apologizing to the man she loved. If he could truly rescue her sister, let her be with her, and live a normal life together, she would keep her promise and try to love him. She felt guilty for betraying her feelings, but for her sister, she had no choice.
Aizen nodded with satisfaction and immediately told Akemi Miyano to stay at the place he had arranged for her to stay. He then left.
Aizen used his teleportation ability to arrive first near the agreed warehouse, finding a suitable location for an ambush. He wasn't planning to ambush Gin and Vodka, but rather to prevent Conan from encountering Gin and potentially causing any trouble.
